Stark difference. Book can’t throw 40 yds. Yes Baker was a 3 star ect but he can throw 40 yds. Murray was a top recruit and Hurts was too. While Hurts fits the system he is not an nfl qb. Can Book improve his draft stock going to that type of O? Sure, he can maybe be drafted which could be an incentive.

OMG! Yes, Book can throw 40 yards. His Lenzy throw was around 50 yards if I recall correctly.

"After the emotional beating he took from the Irish “faithful” after the Michigan game, nobody would be surprised to see Book finish his collegiate career elsewhere."

Yeah, I'm sure if Book went 8-25 for 73 yards in a 31 point loss to Texas, the OU fanbase would just take it all in stride. Right?

Your right my bad, i wasn’t able to watch that game and I checked. I stand corrected, didn’t think he could, he showed no evidence before. Also, there is evidence he couldn’t throwing 38 int when he needed 40 to Claypool

No way... Kelly has never lost faith him and will be his recruiter for the next 6 months. That means a lot.

Also, Riley’s mystique is wearing off. Mayfield was already doing crazy things at Tech before Oklahoma. Murray was 5 star and was already waiting in the wings. Jalen Hurts is a step below those other two in reguards to talent and it showed this year. However, Book is a step below Hurts and that would show too.

Oklahoma would lose three games next year if Book went there. Hurts has ran a lot this year with a dominant line and talented receivers because those talented receivers didn’t get open quick enough. Now, minus those talented receivers, that veteran line, in-put Book with a new system, new receivers, new o-line, lesser arm, and more indecision, and you have a 3 loss team waiting to happen.

No-Way on so many fronts.

There is no way he will go to Oklahoma. They have the number one rated QB coming out of HS last year who is a freshman. Spencer Rattler. The kid is a stud and is going to step right in next year after Hurts leaves.

Book may leave ND but it certainly won’t be to go to Okla.

Book isnt going anywhere, he'll look at his draft stock and be told to go back to school. Kelly wants him back and will sell him that basically the entire offense is back aside from finke and claypool. Book wont pass on that opportunity to take a huge chance on starting completely new somewhere else

Book will get a stay in school grade from the NFL and be back. BK has done everything in his power to make Book “the guy” - never once hesitating about starting Book even when he was really bad. He has already said in a press conference that he will recruit Book really hard so he comes back.

I think Jurkovec will leave after the season. I expect Book to start in 2020 and then a three man (Clark, Pyne, Buchner) competition in 2021.

They have a highly touted freshman on the team right now named Spencer Rattler. I think he was a 5 star.

I could see Book transferring to WSU but I think he’ll stay here. I’m sure he’d go to Oklahoma if they wanted him but you’d be crazy to think Riley would take him.

Interesting info. Add to it 19-3 as a starter.

(I tried to copy, but it came out all messed up.)

For perspective, during his three years as a starter, Brady Quinn played 9 teams that finished in the Top 10 at the end of the year. In his two years as a starter, Book has so far played only one team that ended in the Top 10-#1 Clemson- with the possibility that Georgia will make it two this year.

It is a sign of the times that the 2006 ND team, which went 10-2 with regular season losses of 25 points to 8th ranked Michigan and 20 points to 4th ranked USC, still got a bowl matchup with #3 ranked LSU who beat us by 27 points. Those days are over.
