on Espn this weekend. He was talking about the top ooc matchups this year and he said that ND/Washington was one of the top 5. He then went on to say that it was in name only b/c both teams were "just plain bad" A couple of thoughts. Wasn't Washington 1-10 last year? That's bad. ND did win 6 games including a win over a team that went to the Rosebowl and Tennesse on the road. Now I know ND isn't great but to say they are bad is a stretch. I enjoy watching espn for the entertaiment b/c I figured out a long time ago that they are only good for the entertainment purposes and their analysis is off most of the time. I was just wondering if anybody else caught that and what your thoughts were.

I'll hold my tongue a bit on this one, so as not to begin a Trev-bashing spree. I will say this however, he is simply saying things point-blank for the sole purpose of getting a reaction. When you look at it that way, he's actually doing remarkably well. The truth is, most analysts stay ambiguous with their analysis to avoid eating crow down the road. Trev figures that he is being "bold" by stating what he thinks everyone else is afraid to say. Personally, I can't stand him or that mentality because it tends to overshadow actual facts. What I really hope is that Charlie is recording these statements, copying these articles, and posting them on the locker room board. I can tell you this, if I was a collegiate athlete being forced to listen to a washed-up flash-in-the-pan spout off about how bad my team was, that would be all the motivation needed. Here's to watching little Trevvy chase the band wagon all season long. Sorry Trev, there's just no more room. Go IRISH!

Yea. His college football preview really bothered me. ND is not overrated in any shape or form. Also, Gerald Riggs (Tennessee) and Chad Henne (Michigan) for top 5 Heisman contenders. Is he joking? Texas vs. Ohio State wasn't even a top non-conf. game to him. I don't listen to what he says and try not to let it bother me. His knowledge is limited and he will see he was wrong in every dimension of is so-called preview.

Yeah I like when Trev and Mark May argue, but he really doesn't know that much. I don't mind him saying ND is overrated because when the Irish win some games this year, he will have to take that statement back on national TV 8) .
