ND strikes out in rivals 250

Out of our eight commitments, only two (Aldridge and Frazer) made the list, I'm kinda surprised Schmidt, Ryan and Wade did not make it considering they are 4* prospects according to scout.com

I know. I was disappointed that only Aldridge and Frazer made it. I considered Schmidt and Wade to be locks because they are four star prospects according to Scout, but I am optomistic. Raeshon McNeil made it and if you read his sub-heading it notes that ND is very high on his list. A major plus since he is a 6 foot CB that can contribute right away. The Irish seem to be in very good position with this recruiting class so I am forcing myself to remain optomistic (Although I think we do need more than 2 top-250 recruits to garner a successful class).

As much as I would love to have our recruits on this list, I tend not to put much faith into them. Weis is thought to be an amazing developer, and along with this staff, I think the class can be better than what it is ranked.

This early in the game, I would not fret too much over rankings. As we all know, the rankings can and will change before signing day. There are still many undecided recruits that we still have a very strong chance of getting. I think the most important points to note are the fact that Charlie has been getting "his guys" at the key positions thus far, and that the guys we do have, though not listed in the top 250, are still considered the best of the best at their respective positions.

It is interesting. So much of it has to do with personal opinions and regional bias (intentional or unintentional). I suppose that's why so many 4 and 5 star recruits end up not panning out, when some unknown 1 and 2 star guys end up shocking everyone. Either way, can't wait for signing day to see what we get!
