Not sure who it is but the investigation is concluded and they are holding another (unknown) player out of competition. Per Sportsbeat 960 just now. They said the investigation is done though but no other info than that.

That sucks. Whoever this new player is, it could be bad. Why add him to the mix if he'll be cleared of any wrongdoing in the very near future. I don't know the protocol, so maybe that's not the case, but one would think otherwise. Unless if protocol states that any player involved in the investigation must be withheld from team activities. But then again if the investigation is done, he should've been notified already of his standing with the team...and the world would most likely know of his situation as well in this day and age. This is confusing.

With everything we've heard recently I've kind of made up my mind that everything will be ok. So if we really lose 2-3 guys permanently, especially a key player or two or three etc., that would be terrible. Just terrible. Other kids at basically every big football school can do whatever they want and get away with murder, rape, bribes. Our guys get canned for copying a few answers on a test or homework. It's definitely frustrating.

This tells me the administration isn't doing just a cursory investigation, they are digging deep to find any wrong doings. That can't be good.

Why the f would you use university emails if you're cheating, seriously.

I guess I'm sticking with what i said yesterday, it was fun while it lasted Fab5. I feel like I hardly knew ya.

Oh jeez. Let's hope this crap just stops

This is going to be an annual thing now as ND's PR machine needs to show how virtuous they are on the road to ND being Stanfordized.

Of course, even Stanford wouldn't kick out of school their best football and basketball player like ND did last year.

Meanwhile, far worse common occurrences- like priests having sex with under 21 students (boys and girls) and dirty money that is taken with no questions asked and no repercussions- are all kept in house.

But woe to a kid plagiarizing a paper: he'll be smeared nationally by ND, who could keep it all in house and between ND and the NCAA, but chooses to use the players for their own self aggrandizement.

It makes me want to puke.

Well.... That's one huge left turn. hmmmm
