Something's off about that picture -- maybe arms too short? Head doesn't quite match the body? IDK, it just seems tampered with.

Whatever the case, I echo PT's sentiments: good luck to the young doctor-to-be.

Strength was never the issue with Hendrix. He might want to work on finesse

So very true. In the 'before' picture it just looks like he enjoyed the holidays too much and spent his time indoors during a snowy winter. 'After' picture, time at the lake and maybe after a workout. Whoever put this together probably did it to bust his chops. He does seem like a good kid though so I hope he has a great year.

I hope he does very well for himself and Chuck Martin. I am sure that they will win some games this year.

Just curious, did he work this hard at ND?

Since I don't know the answer I am curious what you think? And if he did not what do you attribute that to?

Some possible thoughts from me:

1. People work harder for a second or last chance than the first.

2. BK does not seem like a super good motivator all the time.

3. He is older and wiser

I don't know though, I always thought he was going to turn into something great but if Hurricane Rees is always nipping at your heels and will likely get the job whether you win or not, where is the motivation?

I don't know honestly, curious what other people think though.

How could a serious D1 athlete have a body like the one in the 1st pic? I agree, the pic looks off.

ever see Thomas Brady?

Looks like Tarzan. Throws like Jane....if she were drunk and spinning around wildly flinging things everywhere...

The play Hendrix displayed in the USC game last year was so far south of hideous that I cannot un-burn the images of him short-hopping throws of under 10 yards.

I wish him all the best and hope that Chuck Martin gets a big benefit from Hendrix's last year of football, but there were comments in this thread that imply Kelly couldn't motivate players to work and that is utterly ridiculous. Andrew Hendrix's problems as a QB NEVER had anything to do with motivation or hard work...they had EVERYTHING to do with out-sized expectations based on the fact that he was a successful running QB in HS and had some high profile scholarship offers.

Are the refugees from ND Nation starting to pop up over here now? That place is a cesspool of nonsense and fools spouting off crap constantly. I can't even be bothered to check their forum or site because of the total degradation into irrelevant foolishness...I hope this place manages to avoid that, but comments that tie posed pictures of a former wash-out player and the current coach of the program are definitely on that slippery slope of irrelevance...

Hendrix had a decent first start although his completion percentage wasn't that hot. In a 42-27 loss to Marshall, he went 24/49 for 318 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT and ran 20 times for 46 yards.

Alex Welch had 4 receptions for 28 yards and 1 TD.

I saw that. It definitely looks like he was the focal point of the offense.....49 throws and 20 rushes....That's quite the load. The next highest rusher only had 10 carries. Marshall is supposed to be pretty good this year so hopefully Hendrix helps Martin turn that team around.
