Hello all,

According to Mid West Recruiting1 twitter account Notre Dame has just recently struck up contact with 5* DB MacKensie Alexander. They have been really reliable in the past and you should give them a follow if you currentlyare not! Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about this ?!?!

yeah, i have, but this kid is bats*** crazy.... great athlete, but ya never know what's gonna come out of his mouth.....he seems to be back on ND's radar, fwiw...........

This would be really interesting. Gonna be a truly fascinating end to recruiting, that's for sure!

Wake up the Echo.

Hark! The time is nigh!

I'm no Tom Lemming, but you don't turn down 5 star cornerbacks. Who were the last 5 stars we successfully recruited, Bobby Taylor? Tom Carter?

Ron Darby finished as a 4* but his play this year was amazing. Could've convinced me he was a 5* corner.

Welcome newbie!

It has been awhile since Alexander's name has popped up here. Source on this?

Take a bow...you have some great sources.

In early November he had ND #1 then a few weeks later he changed his tune saying it's to cold. After that apparently ND stopped pursuing him because he was more or less wacko in his recruitment.

I doubt this goes anywhere since he's come out and said he and his brother are a packaged deal.

Last I heard it was like 80% chance he plays with his brother it was on ESPN insider

I don't think that a player being "wacko" in his recruitment would disqualify him from being recruited. There are countless examples of players acting abnormal throughout their recruitments and still given profound attention from coaches. Alexander wants to stay in the south and I think the only reason he gave ND a chance was due to his relationship with Alford.

Apparently his brother may not qualify to play, so that would be good. ESPN recruiting battles reported this. In regards to his mother wanting Mackensie and MacKenro playing together, ESPN said "Mackensie echoed those sentiments at the US Army All American Bowl, saying that he wanted to play with his brother if he ends up qualifying". I assume that meant his brother. I've never heard anything on Mackensie not being able to qualify.

With everything I've read on domerdomain about him, I don't care if we get him. There's already trouble with him. I could see him transferring after a season because his mother wants him to go wherever his brother was. He's a great player it seems but I don't think we should get excited.
