Anyone else hearing that Ty is visiting on the 25th? Saw this on some other sites. Seems like he's really instrested.

Anyone with more info. Seems like there's some on another site. But it's premium.

Can he play linebacker?

Hard to admit, but I don't want him now. Early in the process, he was the one back I most wanted. The ship has sailed and he didn't want to be on it.

Eagles, Anzalone and now Ty visiting? I'm in the twilight zone.

Can he play linebacker?

Even if he plays offense he will be higher on the LB depth charts than AA

he is 6'3" I would personally rather keep Folston at RB and move Ty Isaac to LB. The kid is too big for a prototypical RB.

Anthony Barr part 2 ??

After watching Lacy demoralize our defense, big sounds good to me.

Eddie Lacy is 6'0" 220lbs

Ty Isaac is not the same type of big, nor is it the good type of big... for a RB.

Anthony Barr part 2 ??

Ty Isaac does not have the aggression to come close to what Barr did this year. He plays soft. There's a reason the last two JCA stud running backs who played with him played full time on defense and he did not (Malin Jones-Northwestern and Josh Ferguson-Illinois). It would be a waste of a scholarship.

This guy has too much ability to ignore. Do I save a spot for him no matter what? Probably not. Too many tasty options with these remaining spots.

- Eddie Vanderdoes as the clear #1 remaining on the board

- The (albeit, low) possibility of Muhammad visiting and/or getting a better test score (I've heard too many things to completely write it off, even if it is a low chance)

- Some of the good vibes that have come from Prevot and Hollins (I wouldn't hesitate at the chance of taking both, considering how Mattingly jumped off the bandwagon

- A speedster like LaRue visiting near the end of the month

If some of those options strike out, then I wouldn't lose too much sleep if one of the three between Isaac, Folston, and Bryant ended up in the slot after we took all three. Isaac has been banged up, but the thought of him slapping on weight and being another big back IS intriguing. He may not be a power runner now, but I'd sign up for that developmental project with Longo.

Not necessarily advocating him over anyone, but I wouldn't take him off the board right away.

The only offensive player I would take to finish the class would be a playmaking receiver. Other than that, keep the spots open for Eddie and whichever signs first between Prevot and Hollins.

I've seen it is in the works but nothing finalized yet

No, he's a much better RB than Barr ever was and it's not even close.

Like this guy was the "wrong" size?

I know nothing about Ty Isaac beyond what is available for free perusal online, but to shoe horn anyone based on "measurables" alone is a bad idea. If the staff evaluated him and believe he can develop into a player for us at RB (or anywhere else), then I defer to them and welcome those who choose to WANT Notre Dame, because otherwise they will become malcontents, transfers or busts.
