Manti Te'o is an obvious choice so I won't go with that.

 

On offense this year it's been Everett Golson. I've been eager since he signed with ND to see what he can do and I must say I'm an EG fanboy. I think as he progresses and matures he'll only get more exciting and dynamic as a player.

 

On defense this year it's been Stephon Tuitt. This kid is just a freak and I love watching him beat up on quarterbacks. To think he's only a sophomore is insane. He's going to be a legend before he leaves.

 

For next year, I'm going to go with Davonte Neal on offense. I think he'll be primed to take over Robby Toma's spot. A year under his belt will do him good and I think we'll see the kind of player Neal is when he's lining up in the slot and electrifying us.

 

For defense, I'm going with Stephon Tuitt. With Te'o leaving, Tuitt and Nix will have to step up and be leaders for our defense. I've been really impressed with Tuitt's demeanor this year. He's worked hard and it's paying off. I think next year will only be brighter for him.

I was really tempted to put Grace for my next year list as I'll be interested in seeing how he "fills" Te'o's shoes. Not that he has to be Manti Te'o, but to see if someone can soften the blow of Manti leaving.
