Soooo... they get into the red zone 3 times and score a touchdown each time? Or they miss a couple FG's too?

 

I am not buying that score, although I kind of like it anyway.

 

10/12 of the teams ND played kicked at least 1 FG against ND: that's bend-but-don't-break meets superb red zone D.

 

The only 2 teams that did not get a FG were Wake and BYU. Wake was a shut out, and BYU was a shut out with the exception of the 2nd qrtr when ND allowed 2 TD's after a turnover and multiple penalties.

 

All that said, I would take 24-21 ND in a heartbeat if someone offered it. Does anyone offer that kind of thing? And, if they do, is the currency anything less than your soul?

Even though Alabama has a monster O-Line, I think you're right.

 

I find it ridiculous when people say Alabama will score 40+ on ND

 

ND has face 1 legit Top 10 offense, and one watered down Top 10 offense (USC with Max Wittek). They had the one scoring drive, because Diaco was figuring out how to cover the two best WRs in the country (Not best Duo, but the Top 2 WRs, there's a difference). Once he figured it out, no more points...Although I will say if they had Barkley, you never know what could have happened.

 

I think ND matches up better defensively against Alabama than USC or Oklahoma. It's strength vs. Strength. Alabam will run the ball at you while telling you, and Notre Dame will also tell you that they're playing to stop the run.

That's what LSU fans said last year! Not saying we get to 21, just saying to think that we couldn't is not... well common sense.

1001 computer simulations has it going Bama's way 24-23.

My common sense comment was meant for it being common sense to pick the best team in the world....NOTRE DAME...:bump::bump::laugh::laugh:

The more people that pick against them the better I feel. ND is going to win this game and it will be even sweeter the more doubters there are. ND plays its best with its back against the wall. So bring it on.
