Everyone needs to watch this. Reminds me a lot of Carlo except he looks much, much faster. This guy is going to be a huge steal, after watching this I'm surprised people aren't talking about him more.

I haven't watched it yet and not saying you're wrong but you'd be hard pressed to find a recrcuit that people didn't call a stud, beast, hidden gem, etc.

Then it becomes a catch 22. We have all of these "studs", and then these kids get called a bust because they are playing behind other good players.

See Ishaq, and Koyak .

Here are a few quotes about justin utupo.

"Kids gonna be a beast"

"He is going to be a great asset"

"his relentless tenacity "

"kid has the potential to be a monster"

"extremely high motor, talent to go with it. "

"He has all star written all over him"

Not to mention that there were several folks who "verified" that he was a legit 6-4. Today he's listed at 6-1:der:

Again, not trying to be a downer but we 'll just have to wait and see.

So true....but it makes it much more fun haha....how many guys on our team fall under that category...(josh atkinson may be the biggest...I know he has two great corners in front of him but I remember there being a comparison to CHAMP BAILEY LOL)

But I do Like this Deeb guy...if you look at 2lakes retweets thread he is a very intense person which would make my team any day....LOVE HIS ATTITUDE

I like what I saw. I think there would be more talk about him if this wasn't such a kick butt class.

Thanks for sharing

Totally agree it ends up happening every year. It's true also that we always have such highly rated classes that we try and hype up the guys even moreso that we think are under the radar. As the poster after said you should see his tweets, along with his will and determination this guy is huge and has a ton of talent. Not the highest rated but also not a bad offer sheet.

Agree with the Utopo thing, I myself was never too high on him because I never had a clue if he would play olb or defensive end. You can never be sure of those tweener guys because you have no clue what they'll play like with the extra weight.

Thank you for the mention.

Yeah, great attitude on every single one of his tweets, and he tweets 3-4 times a day. This is a guy who says he loves Monday mornings for the opportunity to get better! There is always room for a little bit more of that kind of attitude in the locker room. Manti has great talent and genes, but it is his attitude that really sets him apart and has us in this NC hunt (heck, more than "in it," am I right?) a year earlier than we thought.

Looks like a Aaron Lynch-Manti hybrid. A veritable manchild beast.

I actually think for the most part the players we have pointed out as being steals have been just that. The three star guys I raved about in high school were Tyler Eifert, Bennet Jackson, Golson and now Corey Robinson.

I might have been wrong on Tate Nichols but he has been hit with numerous injuries so that one doesn't count! So, I for one, pay attention when a poster thinks someone is under the radar. I also pointed out Devin Butler but he got his 4th star and Rashad Kinlaw as a superior athlete but he is battling injuries too. If Rashad gets healthy, look out!

With a hint of Chris Zorich/Micheal Stonebreaker.

I like Deeb for what he is... a hard working true ILB run stuffer. I think many will overlook him because he isnt as versatile as most of the other recruits in the class, or as highly ranked. But I do believe Deeb will be good at what he does: stuffing the run and playing 110% for 60 minutes. The kid is not flashy, which is why he wont get the attention some of the others will, but he is a pure ILB that this team seems to be lacking in numbers.

Glad someone started this post...I think Deeb will be the surprise of the class. I just love the way he has gone about his business, how he just verbally committed and shut down the process because he's a man of his word. He will be a real leader for this team in the years to come. RKG!

Yep - gotta love the intensity. Other will feed off it too.

I agree on Butler I was always high on him but it seems he is getting more credit throughout the year. Saw something about him doing really good in a few camps so he is getting noticed more. I also completely forgot about Kinlaw. There were alot of people raving about him early in the recruiting stage but haven't heard much since. I also haven't seen much film on him and the film I did see was just him at qb.
