Is it just me or does anyone else think that Vince Young and Chad Henne are overrated? Vince Young had 1 good game last year against Michigan. That is all people seem to remember. They don't remember him being completely shut down by OU and Kansas (until the last play). IMO he is the most overrated college player followed closely by Chad Henne. CH had Braylon Edwards as a safety to just throw it up to. Half of his passes would not normally be caught and due to that his numbers were inflated. I fully expect both of these players to underachieve similarly to how Brad Smith has underachieved.

On the flip side, I think Anthony Fasano is the most underrated TE in the country. He is on nobody's list. NO ONE'S. He absolutely was a man among boys whenever he was involved in our stellar offense last year (sarcasm). He had two TDs against UDub and 150+ yds against Purdue.

Anybody agree with me? Post your most overrated/underrated.

Yeah, Vince Young needs to show me he can throw the ball for one. And whomever thinks Texas is beating Ohio State at night, in Columbus, I am worried about you seriously. Tressel will have his defense ready. And Mack Brown in a big time game....see last five years against OU, enough said. We will all see how legit Henne is this year for sure. Michigan is always overrated, Carr is a vaginia. Tenneesee is overrated, if cough cough Ty cough...can win in Knoxville and still get in 18, enough said. If NC State can beat VT at home that would burst some bubbles in Blacksburgh. Quite frankly, we are underrated damn it!!

I do recognise (our stellar defense 2004 (Sarcasim) as valid. They either resembled stuck totem poles or some granny in a walker trying to chase down a mouse in the kitchen.

 

I feel there sure is a lack of Lemmings stars after their name but I put most down to supremely bad coaching and told to be in the wrong spot every time and unable to react in time. (Wake up Little Suzie Wake Up.)

I ageee to a point on Henne. Edwards bailed him out alot last year. the msu game is probably the best example of just throwing up the ball and letting Edwards get it. It will be interesting to see how he does without Edwards. IMO he still puts up big numbers but he won't get away with some of the same passes this year. Vince Young is outstanding. Tony Rice couldn't throw very well either. The guy is amazing and will be even more dynamite this year. Of the guys getting hype i think he is worthy of it. Just my opinion.

Sir, our D last year just played zone the entire time. Our opponents were good enough to catch on to that so they had their wideouts just run away from our D. Anybody remember last years SC game. Steve Smith caught a TD pass with nobody around him for at least 15 yds. He just ran right by our zone, and our CBs just let him do it thinking they had help behind them.

I agree on Young, it seems all his hype is based on the Rose Bowl game and nothing else. Michigan's defense clearly over-played Cedric Benson (who had like 48 yards rushing, by the way), so of course Vince was able to get out of the pocket and sprint. Personally, I would rather have Reggie McNeil under center, because he has a better arm. I don't know enough about Henne to really comment, because I didn't see many Michigan games. I do know that he had a major safety net with Edwards, but they were running so well towards the end of the season that he didn't have a lot of pressure either. Time will tell, but I do think he is somewhat overrated. In either case, they were good enough to get their teams to the Rose Bowl, so they must be doing something right. The story of this year will be BRADY QUINN, mark it down! GO IRISH!
