I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on how lucky we are to be fans in this technological era. Think about how fast we get answers to all of our "burning questions." Practically every college football game is available on some tv station, and the internet gives us real time scores, stats, and whatever else we could possibly want. It seems hard to imagine not even having the 24 hr news and sports channels to check into. I can't imagine having to wait for the 6 o'clock news or the morning paper to get updates. Best of all, now we have DD! What more can we ask for???

Very smart post Snatchy. Gee..It was terible back when to have to wait for sunday paper and get maybe 20 words on how ND did saturday.

Snatchy gotta add to this. I think you really made a point.

 

Just this morning Coach Dan on Im told me DD rules. That there were more knowledgeable people at DD then he has seen in other sites.

 

I think mainstream as we have discussed before spend a tiny fraction of their brain on ND and the other 100 plus schools then toss in B Ball, baseball etc. They kinda know spit.

 

Ryan created a friendly atmosphere at DD where anyone can weigh in with their 2 cents. I know zip of stats and recruiting so learn from our posters views. There's the one who's sister was actually at the HS game and cell texting info. You can't get that anywhere else.

 

At DD everyone has a little part or bit and it adds up to a better viewpoint and understanding of the whoe picture no one person can provide.

 

No one gets hostile from a differing viewpoint. I've changed my views a couple times in here after reading posts.

Definitely a lot better than when folks only could go to a game, listen to it on the radio, or read about it in the paper(s)
