I was on campus this weekend and while I didn't get a chance to scope out Charlie or the team there are some interesting things to report.

 

1. Angela/Edison has been moved about 100 yards south and now connects Juniper to SB Ave south of the radio tower. The soccer fields appear to be no more. And I appear to be without a tailgate location, post if you know what they plan to do.

 

2. I have my tickets for the season. A trade post will be following for those of you with extra tickets.

 

3. There definately seems to be a buzz on campus and it's not simply the normal buzz before school starts. Everyone seems to want to talk about Notre Dame football on and off of campus.

 

4. I think I may have noticed some of the big eaters out at the Backer. Not sure if this is a good/bad sign, but they weren't out too late and didn't seem to be having too good of a time.

I am a 2005 alumni with a girlfriend in the ND MSA 5th year. The 4 hour car trip is minor compared to what airfare was over the summer to the Bay area, so I plan on being up there most weekends, with or without tickets.

If there is anything anyone wants me to check out first hand let me know. I would love to have an excuse to break into the practice fields or into the Gug.

Anything from campus is welcome. With Coach Weis (and I'm not complaining) sitting on news everybody is guessing. Saw a post rivals has NDs depth chart out. But then the poster said "I can't see Weis talking to those guys." It's all read between the lines now. Wanny won't know a thing.
