Guest NDLawJAG
Acording to Rivals, Notre Dame offered Running back Brandon Saine from Piqua, Ohio. He already had offers from both Michigan, Ohio State, Pitt, Nebraska, Iowa and BC among others. He has good size at 6'1" and 205#. He reportedly runs a 4.34 40-yard dash. Looking his size/speed and at who has offered him, I think he will end up as one of the top prospects in the midwest.

Guest rontdtarchala
I like the fact that he can get all of these top offensive players...we need some serious defensive linemen...and I for one have no doubt he will get them.
Guest irishrick
SORRY FANS, IAM TOLD THAT HE IS LEANING towards Michigan, notre dame is out of the picture, this just might save Loyd carr's job, as the fans are chopping at the bit for him to beat notre dame and Ohio state
Guest TDJesus3
no need to apologize this kid is not like our top rb choice, we are only taking one, maybe two at most, and I would much rather have allen, rainey, or tyler than this kid...michigan can have him, especially if that will keep Lloyd there, the best thing they can do for us is keep three loss lloyd as their coach
BG Tom1 0
Has this kid thought about having to compete with Chris Wells? Maybe we do have some kind of shot!
Guest TDJesus3
im thinking michigan, and i believe this was said before, is the team to beat...yes they have recruited kelvin grady at rb for this class, but this kid grew up a michigan fan (in ohio) and they do not really have that kind of burner back that he is. I would assume michigan is going to take a couple of backs in this class, and he just may be there second...i think he is still a back up option at this point for us. I see our back situation breaking down like this Option 1 Tyler - all around back (maybe a bit of a bruiser) Allen - your break away speed back Option 2 Evans - who has yet to be offered but who I think is next in line (bruiser back) Rainey - your break away speed back, another FL kid like Allen Option 3 Robert Hughes - if we miss out on Tyler and Evans (bruiser out of chicago) Saine - if we miss out on Allen and rainey then him Option 4 Im sure there are others down to this point, I do not think we get to this point where we missed out on all of the above but if we do then you could see someone like Shawn Major-Winston brought in Do not forget guys its also a possiblity we take only one back, I think that only happens though if its Tyler because of his all around abilities and how he would make for another big time back with Aldridge...I guess its also a possibility we only take one with someone like Allen or rainey but it seems less likely Weis woudl pass up getting himself another bruiser like evans in this class if we miss out on Tyler
chirodomer 47
I think a lot of you guys are missing out on the fact that we recruited Luke Schmidt, who played tailback in high school and led Indiana in rushing. He's big, strong and can put the hurt on secondaries. I really look for Luke and Aldridge to split the time in the next few years to come. I like the fact that Tyler could be a package deal with Clausen; however, it would be really nice to get an extremely fast back. I would like to see some speed in the 4.3 range. I would like to see ND get Deonte Thompson and run him as a wing as well as a wide out. We have the battle tanks with Aldridge and Schmidt! We need a Porsche 911 twin turbo with lots of grip! We get some 4.3 speed and we'll see some huge game breaking kick off and punt returns!
Guest TDJesus3
you say we are forgetting about schmidt which we arent hes going to play the RPN roll in the offense and hes going to be good, you are forgetting about the speed coming in this year. Watch out for West on special teams he is a game breaker. Despite what you say about schmidt just look at the offers how I broke it down is what they are going to bring in, they are going to bring in two backs more than likey, maybe only one if its Tyler. Scotty88 0
TDJesus, I just saw this on Evans.......we better hurry if we want to get in on this guy. Darren Evans, a 6-foot, 202-pound, running back, from Warren Central High in Indianapolis, is one of the top prospects at his position, in the Midwest, according to Scout.com. Evans was the EA Sports Sophomore Player of the Year and he followed that up with a super junior season. “Mississippi State has offered Darren Evans a scholarship and they could be tough to beat.” Said Warren Central coach Steve Tutsie. “The Mississippi State coaching staff told me that Darren was the best running back they’ve seen so far this year. I know Darren has family down in Mississippi and that’s also a plus for them.” Evans rushed for 2,100 yards and 39 touchdowns as a junior. Darren missed one game to attend the funeral of his grandfather, which was the only loss for Warren Central in the ’05 season. That loss was avenged during the play-off run for Warren Central and they went on to a win yet another state championship. “I have scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Louisville, Indiana, Purdue, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.” Darren Evans said. “My favorites right now are Ohio State, Mississippi State, Louisville, Michigan, West Virginia and Iowa. “I’ve been to Michigan and Ohio State for junior days and I’m going to West Virginia on April 14th. I’m going to visit Michigan State and Louisville during spring break. “Mississippi State probably leads right now because I know the coaches down there and feel comfortable with them, plus I have my family down there.” Evans told us that he’ll be making his official visits during
Guest TDJesus3
im starting to wonder if he doesnt have the grades, something seems to be keeping our coaches away from this kid, maybe he just isnt on our radar, or maybe he just cant get into ND, but i find it hard to believe Weis wouldnt pick up the best in-state back unless something was up
