Nuts a typo :D brandon is a soph.

Anyway, checked the roster and he hasn't played at all 2004 and we have 13 D line left now. Kuntz the freshmen is one of them.

Course reason and all that is closed and in the fam now.

But looking at past zero playing time I do not think it impacts theNotre dame team hardly at all.

Hand is another Freshmen D line player as well. The only reason I mentioned Kuntz is because he played the last 4 games of his Senior HS year with a broken arm. That tells me that he is a Weisguy and I look forwards to him contributing.

Kuntz is an Indiana boy that Ty decided to overlook as he snubbed the state. CW came in and immediately offered. You can bet your arse he's a Weisguy! I don't really remember Nicolas from recruiting, nor do I know anything about him. Let's just wish him well and turn our attention back to our guys still on the bus. Next stop, NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOWN BABY!

Right Snatchy I wish him well and let's move on. Another site merely said "That's another schhloarship we have." I'm not sure?? I loaned my NCAA book to my B in Law. A nagging memory says it can't be done in year it ends and something about just a partial schloarship? But if so it's open for any gung ho walk on.

I'd like to say definitely so but cannot.

If anyone else knowsone way or the other post it

Not sure either, but that's one positive I never thought of. Give me another Shane Walton type of walk on and I'm a happy dude.

He would have been a good player, definately in the mix over the next couple years. Even if not at DT he may have seen some work with the offensive line. We're already short on depth at a number of positions (OL, DL, DB) and short on skill at others (WR, LB after this year). We really can't afford to lose players like this. Naturally there is some transition when a new coach shows up, but this just looks bad.

Then again, if they're willing to leave at the first sign of trouble (ie they're not going to see immediate playing time or if the work load is too tough) they were never meant for Notre Dame to begin with.

I couldn't agree more. I also noticed while checking some of the college football sites that most of the schools with new coaches have had a significant number of players leaving. I think Ole Miss is down like 9 guys. We really need to make it over the hump this year and get some momentum going in the right direction. Having some highly skilled Freshman ready to play immediately would be a great shot in the arm.

Scratch that, Oklahoma State has lost 9 guys, Ole Miss has only lost 8. I hate being wrong, but you'd think I would get used to it by now........

No problem Snatchy :D I'm often there too. Welcome bluester.

I still am not convinced for, whatever reason he left, it will impact the depth situation that much. Coach and his "plug and play" would handle that situation. Of course it would be nice to be fully stocked in every position but since were not...I'm sure this Coach has an answer.

While on this I will shoot up the "inexperienced." Coach doesn't seem worried overtly about it.

I'm looking at it from an opposing coach viewpoint here. I not only don't know what Coach Weis is going to run because I'v never seen his team or he won't ru n the same thing as he did last week. it's Who the heck are these players he is sending in? What are their tendencies? I know zip about them. Under a system like that you have stars waiting to be born every play and game.
