Looks like D. Jones will be Irish

Recommended Posts

Our backup QB search should be done this weekend. D has spent much of this week at practice. He is ready to make a decision and by the way he will be coming back to ND this weekend with his mother. He said he was ready to make a decision and he said that there was a good chance he could verbal to ND on his visit Saturday.

Wow, great information. I'm very excited about the prospect of having a pro-style passer and a dual-threat QB. Let the best man prove himself in practice and let the offense evolve that way. CW can have a field day with all the options. I'm not sure if I would classify D. Jones as indecisive or a decommit threat, I just think he had a lot of factors to base his decision on, and that takes a lot of thought for a H.S. student to figure out. I'll have my fingers crossed.

There are two ways his commit could go. One, the reason he seemed so indecisive was because he was very thorough in his decision process and he finally realizes that ND is the best choice for him. Two, would be that he wants to beat MM to the punch so he could keep ND as an option open to him. I hope it is the first.

19, I respect your posts but I thoroughtly disagree with you saying that DJ is indecisive. First and foremost, this is a 17 year old kid. Secondly, he simply has not been indecisive. his season has yet to start and he will have a decision made. That is fairly quick. He has said from the beginning that ND was in his top 2. He never wavered from that. The only thing he did was add a few schools to his mix. That is all. He never once changed his story.

Also, I am of the belief that he decided a while ago that he was ND but was going through the process----as he should have. This is a huge decision for him, the biggest he ever made. He deserves the time to be sure of his decision.

The only reason I think that he is somewhat indecisive, not completely, is because he was ND, then Illinois, then ND, then Oregon, then Purdue, then ND. I don't know what happens behind closed doors, he could have been ND all the way and he might have been playing it out. Now that I look back at it, I got ahead of myself and I realize it is only August, and to have a decision by Aug is very good. I guess I just meant that he wasn't very steady with his leaders. I respect that you disagree and you make a good point.

actually he never said that he was leaning to any of those teams. he said they were teams he was considering but that is all. ND and Illinois were always the top 2. Always. The other were simply teams that he added to his list for consideration purposes.
