Guest irishrick
well sports fan do not count out Brady Quinn for the Heisman, a lot of talk has been made that he lost his chance for the award in the fiesta bowl with OSU QB, showing him up, Brady had an off night based upon the fact that he needed to take the 3 step drop and fire short passes to cut down the rush and sacks, or use a rolling pocket to the left or right, he has a good arm , that coupled with the great running of the tailback i think we could have beaten them pretty good, the offensive line could have done better, so i really can't fault Brady very much, anyway this will be over after 1 Feb as we will know who goes to what position, go irish , irishrick
Guest domehead
hmm..I am not so sure about that...wait til he goes for over 4,000 yards next year and leads us to a NC. You cant ignore the obvious..forget the preseason heisman hopefuls..that means nothing.
Guest irishrick
hey domer, i think that coach charlie is going with the run game a little bit more this year than last year, this is the reason i don't feel that Brady will break a lot more records, he will have a great year, but i don't think he will win the Heisman if young from tx returns, UNLESS Brady takes us all the way to NC, the voters just don't want us to win, but Brady will play a different type of game this year, the run will open up the short pass and the game will get more excited and we will win the whole damn thing, i will it., go Irish
Guest SirJohn
Not into trophy guessing over here. I think we will have spectacular runners 2006. Aldrege is a big win. However, Charlie's on record in Pressers if the runs there go for the run if the pass is there go for the pass. It will be 12 different games. Some we better pass some best if we run. It will all even out
Guest irishrick
SJ, i think that you will see a lot more running by notre dame this year than before, just watch and you will see, this will open more passing, its easy to say one thing and do something else, Ohio state played a perfect game against us well cw is going to the run game more. COUNT ON IT, he will now have the power and speed that he needs. to be like he was at N E
Guest IrishTobey
Young is leaving TX so next year will be interesting for the Heisman. Quinn, Ginn, Troy Smith, Drew and Olson at UCLA, not to mention Adrian Peterson at Oklahoma and the QB at LSU will get some consideration. It'll be alot of fun. If ND wins alot Quinn will certianly be in the running. Now, we need the basketball team to win a few to bridge this gap we have between now and Labor Day weekend
