Guest
LaRon Moore to Texas Tech He announced last night on Lemming's show on CSTV. It seemed pretty clear that he wanted ND and was in if there was room. One good thing is that he is not heading to a school which is competing for McCoy as they are teammates. The other good thing is that this means this class is filled, most likely with the three we all persume, Carufel, Young, and McCoy, but I feel like if its not those three then its been filled by backups. This kid would have waited till the last minute i feel like if he would have had a chance to get in. He didn't and in my opinon thats why he committed elsewhere. He's a good kid and probably will be a good player, but no room here. Good news here boys, we are back to selecting the recruits we want and we have kids waiting to get in I think the rest of this class is filled and you are going to see coach on a media blitz to round it out. Carufel will make a splash for us at the AA game, McCoy, the top defensive player in the country makes news on signing day, and Young sometime in between to keep momentum for the juniors, thats just my feel, no info on this Also, if there is so way we do not get McCoy or Young watch for Kates to skate in at the end, the kid missed his opportunity to get on the bandwagon the first time and I expect him and butch lewis to wait till the signing day to see if they can get in
Guest SirJohn
That's a pretty good feeling jk. I agree when the Coach can talk about them, after NCAA he will blitz the media. My take is Coach has changed recruiting forever here not just for ND. I'd wager this is the last time you will see anyone verbing after December. There's almost no seats on the Bus now, so no ride. Commit early for ND cause Weis won't dally around long. It is a stunning change to be a Notre Dame fan and look at 25 DIAMONDS shuffle them around thinking if I didn't take this diamond I could have gotten this other over there. Guest
I agree that kids will have to verb early, but I wouldn't expect all the announcments to come early. Weis seems to have planned out every kids announcment to keep momentum, and to keep ND in the news, the recruiting news that is, which the recruits pay attention to. It would be boring if we got all 25 early, its good to announce some kids at the AA game and to have a big one on signing day, make us and our top class the story, florida is getting its play now, but come the AA game and signing day, it will be ND kids announcing, and ND being the news of the day. It is a brillant idea, its like a good pr campaign, if you used up all your advertising budget early, you fall from the news and people almost forget about you, which hurts your next class. When done like this it is a steady stream of good news, and wow ND looks like the place to be. Polish the dome boys, its going to be shining for years to come! Guest SirJohn
jk I do then stand corrected. I did not consider timing recruiting verbs for maximum PR and as you said Momentum. A very, very good point. As it is we are closed so to speak..at absolute top and leaves all wishing they had gotten on sooner.
