Guest KBNoTReDaMe
Again, I know this is not all about the Irish, but this is my preseason Top 32 teams. I try to predict how good the teams will do and the ( ) next to each team is where I think they'l finish in their respective conference. 1. USC Trojans (#1 Pac-10) * 2. Texas Longhorns (#1 Big XII South - Big XII Champs) 3. Miami (FL) Hurricanes (#1 ACC Coastal - ACC Champs) 4. Michigan Wolverines (#1 Big Ten) * 5. Ohio State Buckeyes (#2 Big Ten) 6. Louisville Cardinals (#1 Big East) 7. LSU Tigers (#1 SEC West - SEC Champs) 8. Florida Gators (#1 SEC East) 9. Virginia Tech Hokies (#2 ACC Coastal) 10. Tennessee Volunteers (#2 SEC East) * 11. Texas A&M Aggies (#2 Big XII South) 12. Oklahoma Sooners (#3 Big XII South) 13. Purdue Boilermakers (#3 Big Ten) * 14. Florida State Seminoles (#1 ACC Atlantic) 15. Iowa Hawkeyes (#4 Big Ten) 16. Georgia Bulldogs (#3 SEC East) 17. Boise State Broncos (#1 WAC) 18. Arizona State Sun Devils (#2 Pac-10) 19. Texas Tech Red Raiders (#4 Big XII South) 20. Alabama Crimson Tide (#2 SEC West) 21. Pitt Panthers (#2 Big East) * 22. Auburn Tigers (#3 SEC West) 23. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (#1 Ind.) 24. Boston College Eagles (#2 ACC Atlantic) 25. California Golden Bears (#3 Pac-10) 26. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (#3 ACC Coastal) 27. UTEP Miners (#1 C-USA West - C-USA Champs) 28. UCLA Bruins (#4 Pac-10) 29. Fresno State Bulldogs (#2 WAC) 30. Virginia Cavaliers (#4 ACC Coastal) 31. Bowling Green Falcons (#1 MAC East - MAC Champs) 32. Penn State Nittany Lions (#5 Big Ten) There were so many close calls between many teams in each conference. Overall, I expect this season to be very competitive for a lot of the big conferences such as the ACC, Big Ten, Big XII (South) and the SEC. I don' think the Pac-10 or the Big East will be too competitive since USC should take the Pac-10 easily and the Big East should be either Louisville's or Pitt's. I think the Irish will end up 8-3 in the regular season. * means a team that Notre Dame will play against in the upcoming season.
Guest Ryan
Very realistic list. I know we would all like the Irish to be a Top 10 team, but there is really no way to tell how much Weis can transform this team.
IrishLeopard 0
Very good list, however the only gripe i have is Oklahoma at #12, i believe that they'll win the big twelve behind the legs of adrian peterson, and remember even though jason white is gone, rhett bomar, a top recruit a few years back, will now control the team and he is skill-wise better than white
Guest Ryan
I actually think that UT will win the Red River Shootout, therefore winning the Big 12. This is all because of Vince Young, if you watched the Rose Bowl, you would have a hard time disagreeing with the fact that he is probably the next Michael Vick. Guest Snatchy_McPants
I know it is not a powerhouse conference by any means, but I'm curious why there is no Big XII North team in the top 32. You have to figure that at least one of them will come out and be ranked. (Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa State)
