Popular Post SDIrishFan 606
LFG. ND should have a legit offense next year, no excuses. Kinda makes you wonder, did they tell Pyne he could stay but they were going to go ahead and need his #10. Only half kidding, haha. 2
NDLincPark 15
Mayer is probably wishing he was born 7 months later to get a year here with a real QB. JK, go get your 19Mill guaranteed 1
tneun89 421
If ND can land another starting-caliber WR in the portal, the offense should be lethal next season. Playoffs a very real possibility. 1
jessemoore97 558
Good news to hear. Welcome aboard Mr. Hartman! No offense to Coan, but this transfer moves the needle for me moreso than Coan did. Especially considering the depth we have returning at RB, talented young WR and TE, as well as some very good OL. Excited for spring ball now at least. 2
Kid Gloves 128
Fantastic news! Very excited to have the experience and talent back there. Still not confident that Rees is the right guy to call plays and run the offense though but at least there will not be any excuses that the QB isn’t talented enough.

Get two defensive linemen (preferably Lucas and another 4 star caliber guy) and the Arkansas Safety, then this is a playoff caliber team. Hartman’s season will tell us a lot about Rees and his potential or lack thereof. 2

NDhoosier 934
ya, DL is the one area that we need more impact players. Botelho could be a break out player (not guaranteed by any means) but even if he breaks out, they would need another one as well.

Depth or a starter, however you look at it.
coltssb 908
Loy cab’s Harper(safety/Nickel) from Okie State to ND. That would be a welcome. I’d still take Catalon too. DL seems to be the biggest need. Maybe Vaughn’s from Utah State? I think ND will find somebody here. Just hope it’s somewhat if a difference maker. As for Hartman, all these metrics that I hardly understand seem to paint Hartman as a drastic improvement for ND. Throws a ton downfield. Takes more sacks and throws more int’s but has a better success rate downfield too. Buchner would be wise to learn from him for a year and then take the reigns and flourish at ND. 1

This sort of Homer thinking is actually a shame to see. Buchner is done here - the entire program will be better off for it. I cant believe some of you still think this is a wise plan. Bring back a horrible Senior QB in 2024 - who has pretty much ridden the bench for 3 years - to be the next QB after hartman. You guys are obsessed with mediocrity and status quo

Ok….do people not get better at there craft if they continue to practice at it? What do they tell people that want to be good at something. Find someone better and learn from that person. Back on topic, as for Buchner, I can think of quite a few people that blew up there senior years. Quit pretending your an NFL scout. 2

Name a Senior QB who 'Blew up' as a Senior - and after being a backup for basically 3 years. Who led his team to CFP/Playoff contention? Oh wait, I know what you're going to say. Joe BUrrow. Got me, yep, ND should just hope Buchner turns into Joe Burrow in 2024. LOL

You did your homework. Can Newton. Kurt Warner. Now for what “I” said. Guys improve with work. Carson Palmer was complete garbage up till his senior year. Then exploded and won the Heisman and a championship. Hendon Hooker the past two years. Last year would be considered his senior year if not for Covid. Max Duggan lost his job last year and may win the championship in his senior year. Tom Brady was a spot starter with Drew Henson his senior year. Joe Montana didn’t have lights out stats his whole college career. Guys develop. They get better. So, Again, show us your credentials as an qb evaluator or turn my water into wine. If you can’t do either, then stop acting like you’re something you’re not…

Is to hope that Tyler Buchner turns into Joe Burrow, or Tom Brady, or Carson Palmer, or Cam Newton or Kurt Warner. LOL

The comment just states that Buchner would do well to learn and try to succeed after doing so. 2
