Senior Bowl—Book voted best qb on his team

Recommended Posts

Heard on radio here in AZ that Jones looks by far the best of the group. Ball comes out quick on short throws and he always knows where to go. He doesn’t also doesn’t need the play read to him three times to understand. Nothing was mentioned of Book so I don’t know

Sounds like Book couldn’t find anyone open...wonder why. Hmm... Because he can’t make a read at the line of scrimmage? Being open doesn’t mean having 5 feet of separation. It means three inches of separation and your receiver’s eyes on the ball when the db doesn’t have the chance to get eyes on the ball or make a play yet. Book can’t read a defense so he can’t make that kind of anticipatory pass. At best, he should be an undrafted free agent.

Hainsey and Banks push the RB in the endzone. Book led a TD drive. #GoIrish

That was funny to watch. They must have pushed him from the 6 or 7 yard line too. The announcer said something to the effect that the Notre Dame guys must have learned that from the Bush Push incident. BTW Book did not look good. Sure his pass protection wasn’t great but he had happy feet again. As soon as the protection started to break down he took off running. I think he ran on 4 of his first 5 pass attempts. He looked like an average QB at best...☹️

Couldn't be. Must not be a good crop of WR this year.
