Jersey Irish 14
The Tennessean is reporting that Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt will be fired for cause and that Fulmer will “retire.” What a mess at Rocky Top! Thank goodness, Prince Kollie chose Notre Dame!
irishwavend 2
It’s glorious, and Phil couldn’t go out any better way considering his cheating as a coach and overseeing Pruitt. Their bag man got busted which is why some of their players had “covid” in their last game... they weren’t actually sick. Nothing su(ks like the Big Orange.

irishwavend 2
Saban already snagged him as his new OC to replace Sarkasian I know, that’s why I offered it...if he’s only an OC, he can opt out for a head coaching position...

Jersey Irish 14
Phil Fulmer says the "recruiting has been good" at a press conference announcing the firing of Jeremy Pruitt because of alleged recruiting violations. Priceless... Football Scoop saying Dan Patrick said what did in Pruitt and his staff was handing out $100 Egg McMuffins. "You literally had bag men, and they put the cash in McDonald’s bags and handed it to recruits,” Patrick said. Man, Tennessee might get the death penalty form the NCAA if this gets deeper as it seems it will. The president of the school has fired everyone on the football staff

Jersey Irish 14
While the details of athletic director Phillip Fulmer’s retirement have not been finalized, that the school anticipates paying Fulmer $37,500 per month through the remainder of his contract – December 31, 2023. The taxpayers of Tennessee should be seething at this. Where's Davey Crockett when you need him?

There is probably a large percent of SEC players who receive some cash from "bagmen" during recruiting and while playing. The big question is whether or not anyone gets caught and whether or not coaches can deny having any direct knowledge of it. Here's an interesting article about one supposed bagman https://www.bannersociety.com/2014/4/10/20703758/bag-man-paying-college-football-players
jbrown_9999 13
A quick internet search shows 21 McDonald's in Knoxville but only 11 in South Bend.
irishwavend 2
So, apparently this is how UT went down...President of the university hated Pruitt and didn’t like Fulmer’s approach of football first, so she told Fulmer he could keep his money and retire on his terms if he opened an investigation into Pruitt. And so he did, and they’re both gone. She doesn’t have much interest from coaching candidates right now, but hasn’t really begun a search since she wants an AD first. Now, I just wanna see the penalties from the NCAA.
