I'm surprised by Burnham, thought he'd be 230 based on the pics I saw of him.

Will be interesting to compare these numbers to camp numbers come August. 10-20 lbs of "good weight" in 7 months isn't out of the question.

And I know he's just a kicker, but can you imagine being on a DI football field only weighing 150 lbs? Yikes.

Not something I'd say publicly

I agree. I do not mind if he has that mindset at practice and on the field (probably a good mindset to have as an elite player), but dont diminish your teammates in the first month. Hopefully there is more context than we are missing or the team knows and likes his personality so they do not care that he said it.

Probably should have said something more like, “I feel like I’m one of the fastest LBs in the country and speed kills”

I think it’s good to be confident. He didn’t say he’d be starting right away or he’d be an AA.

It's great to be confident.  Love it. Dont say it 1 month in.  Everyone knows hes fast in training,  you dont have to say it publicly

I assume he was asked a question along the lines of “what makes you special?” IMO, he gave a direct and honest answer without being arrogant.

I wonder if he was answering a question such as "what is your best attribute"

I can understand why in the past ND didn’t like freshman talking to the press. He should hire you as his PR guy. With all that NIL money flying around these days …..

Another Ivy League grad transfer picks ND! Former Harvard defensive lineman Chris Smith, who was verbally committed to transfer to Minnesota, has had a change of heart and flipped his commitment to Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish coaching staff hosted the 6-2, 300-pounder over the weekend, he quickly realized South Bend was going to be his next home, and then committed.. Adds depth to DL with all the injuries.

Now, if we could only get a grad transfer WR from a Power-$ school.

Looks like a solid player…when he’s healthy. I hope he has a great career at ND. Sounds like he has a burst.

Agree. Hopefully he can sit and strength train to be ready to go in a year. I'm not sure if it is a potential chronic injury or not. He had some great early offers before his injury.
