thats what was great about Lou's coaching. he adapted to the players skill set and used it to his advantage. Kelly makes the skill adapt to his system

 

You put the bull in $hit. Kelly is as good as it gets in getting players into the best position to use their skills to the fullest, changing positions, etc. Countless examples.

 

I was at ND during the Holtz era. Run left, run right, run up the middle, repeat. I could call the play about 75% of the time from the stands based on the formation, leans, looks, etc. Holtz had 100 "4 and 5 star" players to choose from. Let's bring back Montana with his 54% completion percentage 10 TD's and 9 interceptions. He's much better than Book with 64%, 14 TD's and 2 int.

 

Lenzy will be getting more looks including kick returns. The called play is perfect for him because it allows Lenzy to load up as he turns the corner - he covers much more territory for each stride @ 43 seconds.
