I don’t want to pile on the hate, but I will say this: Dabo looks like he loves his players. The way he hugs and treats those kids... I just don’t see purple face doing that. Kids can see that, they are drawn to it.

Of course it looks that way, they just won a National Title. I’d give anything if ND could sway Dabo, but have some understanding of the context.

I actually thought the Tide might lost fairly handily (not a blowout though)

I based it on the fact that Alabama NEVER plays passed the comforts of their region. The farthest west they ever really play is Dallas

When it was announced that the National Championship Game was in California, I IMMEDIATELY thought that if ND can get passed Clemson somehow, we would actually have a pretty good shot at Bama

I think that it is pretty well accepted that Dabo is a players' coach sort of like Pete Carroll. I would guess that Saban is more Belichick-like in his relationship with his players.

Waking up today, I actually almost feel worse. ND had so many self inflicted mistakes in that Clemson game. They probably should’ve played them to like a 28-17 score. They still lose, but that stink from the 2012 Bama game would be almost gone

Dabo thanked a lot of God... I love it that he was doing that in a city like San Francisco, but at the same time, let's get real - God doesn't give a crap about football. Further, does Dabo really think God is giving him a preference over the poor kid in South America who prays daily for the slightest increase in quality of life...?

We need more guys like Dabo who are grounded in a set of values, unlike hypocrites like Hugh Freeze or a-holes like Urban, but Dabo also needs to turn it down a little.

Him thanking God and giving so much praise didn't necessarily mean he was thanking God for making his team a championship football team. I'm not going to try and surmise exactly what he meant by it, but I'd say it probably entails a whole lot of things.

Well, let's look at it as a glass half- full rather than BSPN seeing as half-empty.

Clemson defeated ND by 27

Clemson defeated Alabama by 28

Therefore, ND is better than Alabama and BSPN should start harping on this Alabma loss to Clemson and not ND's loss in 2012 to Alabama!

I think that will happen when ND goes 55-4 over a 5 year period.
