He won't be playing in the state of Nevada. Nevada high school rules say that when someone transfers from one school to another, they have to sit out an entire year. What a crock of shit. You would think kids would be free in America to play and choose any school they want to attend. Just terrible.

The problem with that is kids would jump ship at will to another 'hotter' program that might offer playing time or is closer to playing championship-caliber football. It would decimate the high school geographical system.

no doubt. im very high on starks but this makes me wonder if he'd stick it out at ND. hope it all works out for him.

Lol, what about this makes you doubt his commitment to ND if we received it? No one has any clue why he was dismissed.

This comment makes me scratch my head.

No kidding. Catholic prep schools don't exactly tolerate much misbehavior. We of all fanbases should know that.

Schools Like Bama and USC will still be after him, regardless of the cause for dismissal.

And if that ends up being the case, then I would understand ND backing off....

His latest tweet reads "people will always believe the worst"....hopefully there is some room for misinterpretation...

I would think that there would be an exception to the transfer rules to allow someone to play when they transfer under these circumstances.

This may hurt ND recruiting Stark but I think we can be confident that he will have lots of opportunities at other schools even if not ND.

While I like BG's commitment to privacy in these matters, I can't help but think that there is a tendency to assume the worst in such situations.

After the Hood commitment, I thought we were done at RB except that you always have to keep recruiting a position in case of a change in mind. Omar Hunter is a good example. We stopped recruiting the DT (Mike Martin?) who went to Michigan after Hunter committed. Then, when Hunter switched, we were too late to get back in.

Getting Folston and Bryant last year is just a great RB foundation to give us some protection from decommitments and injury going forward I think. I am of course assuming that they will be as successful as advertised.

Who cares if he gets opportunities at other schools??? That doesn't help us! If his chance to play at ND is pulled and he ends up going with, say, USC, then the situation ends up worst case scenario for the Irish.

And another tweet.

"I screwed up. But that doesnt change the player I am or the person i've put myself out there to be. I just need another chance to prove it."

Well there goes the question about culpability...

It's amazing how readily kids are willing to throw away a potential great future for something so stupid with little to gain.

But, fortunately for him, there will be schools that give him that 2nd or 3rd or 10th chance. Whatever he is on now.

Only to current players.....we need to be a second chance kind of school with recruits. 3rd or 4th? Nope. Gotta distance yourself from pattern-forming guys....

Right, if he screwed up once. Great, shit happens. But, sounds like multiple times over three or so years. ND won't take a shot there I dont think.
