  1. With some of these vacancies in the NFL and the attention BK is getting recently, can anyone else see him jumping to the NFL this year? I certainly can considering he flirted with it in 2012... The last time house stock was this high. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. I think there is merit to this discussion. ND ranks 125th in opponent penalty yards per game. https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/opponent-penalty-yards-per-game It's maddening watching our D line get held nearly every play without any flags. It's as if the Irish players are handicapped for being good at what they do. Okwara was held numerous times on passing plays that impacted the game. Blatant no-calls. I'd be purple-faced on that sideline if I was BK.
  3. Anyone in the media with a brain knows that ND played that game without their top 2 offensive weapons on the field. Book hadn't made his debut and Williams was suspended. I'll take a rematch with the skunkbears any day. ND is simply better than that team. They already proved it.

  5. I understand that this is a small sample size, however, this is a measure of efficiency. It's relative. Here's their definition of the stats: "Team efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories. Efficiencies update daily during the season." While the sample size is small, we can still conclude that this team is inefficient thus far. This team will not maintain it's current top-10 AP ranking if they continue to perform this inefficiently throughout the season.
  6. ND's current team efficiency rankings: Offense: 62nd Not shocking with this wildly inconsistent offense. Play calling isn't helping their cause either. Defense: 22nd WOuld love to see the first half versus 2nd half efficiency rankings. It seems that offenses are adjusting at half and ND is either running out of gas or opponents are finding their weak spots. Not sure which at this point. Special Teams: 93rd Totally inexcusable. Come on Polian! Overall team efficiency: 40th This helps confirm the general ND fan consensus that this is a mediocre squad that will be exposes shortly. http://www.espn.com/college-football/statistics/teamratings/_/tab/efficiency ND will need to clean up their play before they hit the meat of the schedule of this could go off the rails.
  7. I would probably give it one "really"... ND currently ranks 62nd in offensive efficiency based on ESPN's team efficiency rankings. http://www.espn.com/college-football/statistics/teamratings/_/sort/offEfficiency/tab/efficiency ND's current team efficiency rankings: Offense: 62nd Defense: 22nd Special Teams: 93rd Overall team efficiency: 40th ND will need to clean up their play before they hit the meat of the schedule of this could go off the rails. **I'm moving this post to another thread. I think this deserves it's own discussion.
  8. I'm just glad we don't play BC this year... they may be the 2nd best team in the ACC. I would not be confident in the Irish in that matchup.
  9. Which team hands the Irish their first loss of the season?
  10. Protect the ball and we win. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. 9-3. The the travel involved late in the schedule will result in another November letdown.
