  1. Because it would still be an ND diploma. You seem to want ND to be yet another college team that is essentially nothing more than a minor league farm team for the NFL. If that's the case, then you don't understand what ND is all about. If you want to support a football-factory where graduating players is a low priority, then I recommend following a school where there are no academic standards for athletes (e.g. Ohio State, Alabama, Southern Cal, or Florida State). ND is obviously not the team for you.
  2. That's not what ND is about. If you think that's what ND needs to start doing, you don't understand ND and should go follow another team. I'm proud of my degree from ND. Resorting to what you propose cheapens it.
  3. Easy to do when the OSU QB can spend all of his time watching game film and preparing for upcoming opponents instead of going to class.
  4. Hilarious! Tosh actually bears some resemblance to Kiffin.
  5. Maybe this refers to the rumor that the trainer in question offered to revise papers/HW in exchange for sex.
  6. If wins are vacated, that also may throw a wrench into "all time wins" and "winning percentage."
  7. Bingo! It's hard to take much from that given that many teams load up on tomato cans in the early part of the season.
  8. This year marks thirty years since BYU's one and only national championship which was a farce. They went undefeated against a horrible schedule and, if I recall correctly, didn't beat a team with a winning record.
  9. Priceless, but I don't get the stuttering reference. Can someone fill me in?
  10. Yep, you're right. I was confusing the two. Thanks for the reminder.
  11. I went to the game at Syracuse in 2003. One of the most pathetic performances by an ND team in the 35 years I've been following the Irish.
