  1. Pitt junior WR Jordan Addison is entering the transfer portal. Addison (6'0/175) may not actually transfer, but is entering the portal in an exploratory fashion. The reigning Biletnikoff Award winner caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns last year and is trending as a first round selection on just about every early-2023 mock draft worth their salt. While rumors came out that USC offered Addison up to $3 million in NIL perks, there are still multiple options in play for the Pitt phenom. ND has no shot at him if USC is offering that much in NIL perks!
  2. Heck, he might end up being better than Kyle Hamilton
  3. Agree. Refuse to pay for a practice game. ND needs to better negotiate this Peacock crap with NBC
  4. Moore has already said he is a Midwest-type of guy. I expect him to stay true to that and take the opprtunity that ND offers him to start early in his career.
  5. It's official! Long overdue to go back to this awesome tradition. Freeman nailed it! Prayer before a game is always important to be focused for an important day. After Mass, players will walk from Sacred Heart Basilica to the stadium -- always an awesome part of game day.
  6. Another Ivy League grad transfer picks ND! Former Harvard defensive lineman Chris Smith, who was verbally committed to transfer to Minnesota, has had a change of heart and flipped his commitment to Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish coaching staff hosted the 6-2, 300-pounder over the weekend, he quickly realized South Bend was going to be his next home, and then committed.. Adds depth to DL with all the injuries. Now, if we could only get a grad transfer WR from a Power-$ school.
  7. Think it is a home run hire. Getting a former head college coach with NFL coaching experience at LB -- you gotta love it. He should also be a big help to Freeman in his first season as head coach.
  8. Looks like it will get done this week, now that the Super Bowl is over. Golden has been a linebackers coach in the NFL, so it makes plenty of sense for him to coach LBs along with being DC. This makes sense given the linebacker haul we had in recruiting. They gotta be happy having an NFL coach as their position coach. Think it is huge! This dual coaching assignment is also necessary to keep the coaching staff limit at 10 and was reason why Lezynski took the Vandy job. Got a feeling though that someday in the future he will be back as his alma mater,
  9. The soap opera that is Michigan football continues. In the last episode, Mike Elston left ND to take the same job as DL coach for the Skunkbears. In the latest episode, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh raids his brother, Jim's coaching staff at Michigan to hire DC Mike McDonald as the Ravens new DC. As that is happening, the new GM of the Vikings wants to interview Michigan's Jim Harbaugh to be the next coach of the Vikings. The preview of the next episode shows Elston jumping up and down thinking he will be named as Michigan's next DC while Jim Harbough flies to Minneapolis where he may be offered the Vikings job on the spot as Elston then realizes if that happens, he may be out of a job altogether. Stay tuned for the next episode of "As the skunkbnears turn."
