There is no evidence that Moore is simply after NIL... People need to stop attributing being patient with wanting a big payday. These are huge decisions for these kids, they are allowed to take their time.5 points

If Dante decides to come here...cool. if he doesn't...good luck kid. Point being is the kid is getting ready for his senior year in high school. I was not even close to having or dealing with the amount of pressure this kid has on his shoulders nor could I have handled it. Let the kid have fun. Weigh out his options and if he decides that ND is his best bet. So be it. Hope he does because I'm an ND fan and feel like its the best option for anybody lucky enough to get that scholarship offer. With that being said... come on Dante. We would love to have ya!!5 points

sorry to be late to the dance, but how about Tommy Regner for 76, and George Kunz for 78 (#2 in the draft behind OJ)? Kunz laying out an Iowa defender, and with Hanratty in Playboy4 points

Percentage wise that is incorrect. More 3 stars are drafted because it is a higher number of 3 stars, but the percentage of 5 stars (there are only around 25 a year vs hundreds of 3 stars) is higher for 5 stars. % stars have a better "hit" rate4 points

Let's also not lose sight over the fact that it is June. June is not exactly the robust time for college football. Come Fall people can start tons of content, a thread per conference, gameday threads for conferences, etc etc.4 points

My father was ND grad (I'm just a subway alumni) but he and I both support the change. When the song was written, ND was male-only. Now it is not (and hasn't been for 50 years). Having two girls and one boy involved in college sports (not at ND), I see no reason not to support sports played by both genders with the fight song. Unless you want to write a new song to play just for women's sports.4 points

Damn…rough break. Looking forward to seeing him on the field when he’s healthy I think he’s going to be a great all around back3 points

Ohio State for me. I’ve seen ND play USC many times. The Ohio State game is such a rare occurrence. I just hope they come to play unlike the past two years I’ve seen them play in the desert. I also think this is a good barometer of where ND thinks they are. Beat them and it sets the table for everything. EVERYTHING…3 points

I really hope you're right, that would be sweet. I just don't see them being only a 4 win team though. I think Riley is a good coach, and yes the big question will be their D. Aren't they supposed to have a good DC, Alex Grinch I think it is? Not familiar with him very much. We'll see how the season plays out and I'm anticipating both teams to be ranked coming into the game.3 points

Beating UT is like beating USC or Michigan to me. I despise the Vols. Go Irish! Huge upset!3 points

Sounds like Jagusah might be on NDs campus today. There’s some positive buzz about him committing to ND.3 points

I won’t believe he would actually show up at ND until he is graduating from ND. Until then I am going to assume this is a very elaborate hoax by a Meatchicken ultra legacy.3 points

It's been an unofficial practice among some students for years. It syncs up really well. After a few times running through it, it becomes second nature. The daughters of Notre Dame deserve their mention, in my opinion.3 points

It happened last year with Jack Nickel. This is not a practice that ND wants to participate in. It boiled down to a new HC, new RB coach, and wanting a different mix at RB. Communication could have been improved earlier on potentially but this one wasn't blatant disregard or ditching a kid. I think Irvin will be a very good player at the school he chooses.3 points

https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/Former-Irish-Greats-Weigh-In-On-Notre-Dame-Vs-USC-136820725/ OG- RYAN “BUBBA” LEAHY (1992-95, C) “The 1992 game (a 31-23 Notre Dame victory) was quite amazing. We were out in California. On game day, I woke up in the morning to my bed banging against the wall. I told my roommate, Mark Zataveski, to knock off whatever he was doing in the bathroom. Coach Holtz told us it was actually a small earthquake. “Actually, many of our teammates were getting the flu or some kind of food illness. Many of the players missed part or all of pre-game. The doctors, trainers and managers came through and did everything they could to get players hooked up to IVs to remedy the sickness. Reggie Brooks and Jerome Bettis ran all over USC to bring home a victory.”2 points

We’ve been singing “sons and daughters” since I was in school and I graduated from ND in 1993. It’s just nice that they’ve made it official.2 points

I’m expecting the site to be slower in this, the off-season. When there are more actual developments, I expect to be more active. On an unrelated note, the Halloween Store is uncharacteristically empty this week….2 points

College Football Watcher @CFBWatcher From what we've heard, Notre Dame is absolutely crushing its official visit with 5 Star Florida RB, Richard Young, who has long been thought to be an Alabama lean. I'm not saying the Irish now lead or anything, but they're making a major move #NotreDame #GoIrish #FreemanEra2 points

From what I read and heard on podcasts, some recruiting gurus and the ND staff feel that Paige is as good as Freeling. Not sure I agree but nobody cares what I think. He's really big but I am not sure he matches Freeling's quickness.2 points

Keeping with the numbers and tight ends since that’s where we are. Irv Smith at 84. Probably one of my favorite plays. Dragging all those Hoosiers for a TD. Let’s not forget about Tony Hunter at 85. we also forgot about John Carlson at 89. We could of just done the whole tight end u now that I think about it for the 80’s.2 points

Just saw he plans on being back on campus this weekend to help recruiting with the ‘23 and ‘24 classes. What a difference this makes to have a stub qb that wants to build it up around him rather than hoping and chasing2 points

Negatively. I think ND may move on from him. Dante has played his recruitment weirdly. Several schools have moved on from him because he visits them then lets them go. LSU and Miami seem to still be lurking around and both have placed themselves in the situation to take him if he wants to join them. Now ND has done the same but ND may not wait for his "games". ND may still recruit Dante but I think they will up the interest on other 2023 QBs too. June...big recruiting month...2 points

Schmidt & others no doubt used that nickname, but from memory, it was his summer camp roomie, the late Louis Nix who 1st tagged him with the name Tilly Jerrery (and various spinoffs of that). Seems like that was a simpler time. Thank goodness for Marcus.2 points
