Default All time programs

ESPN has an article on its site of the top 50 programs of the past 150 years.
I would link but canít figure it out on iPhone.
Anyways, Alabama was #1 and ND was #2.
Of course Iím biased, but I think ND should be number 1. Based on a couple of factors for me.

National Championships - According to them ND has 13 and Alabama has 15.
I didnít check to see how valid Alabamaís were. I know itís subjective and I also know Alabama has crowned themselves an ungodly amount even when not deserved.

ND from what I thought I read created the forward pass. Evolutonized the game to what it is today.

ND started playing across country(our west). Helping to create their independence but what I believe also influenced the population to college football.

I could go on a little more but Iíd be curious on what others say.?

I think you can attribute that ranking to recency bias. ND has not done anything of note in 30 years. Alabama has won 5 NCs since Saban took over and played in two more NC games.

I am OK with that ranking nonetheless.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you on your points

I can agree with what youíre saying. But their title suggests the last 150. Not the past 15 years. ND still holds the overall record against them too...

Minor nit: St. Louis University's Bradley Robinson completed the first "legal" forward pass:

Nd has had more draft picks thank Alabama, more All Americans, more Heismans, more history and a more direct link in the history of college football.

ND was the first national power and shaped football. NDs best decade is miles better than Bamas best decade.

Not much of a battle here if itís over 150 years.

Absolutely this! Either it's recent bias or they are uneducated about all of ND's history and achievements which I believe it would be the latter. It's pretty ridiculous.
