Yeah they are getting it taken to them. I'll be interested to see if Gunner shows up tomorrow.

Most hs QBs do. this is a trait that's often developed in the college/pros, and many times in never developed.

Looked like he lost all composure. Not saying it was a cakewalk for him but he looked pretty bad on the plays when he did have time. Seemed like a case where his part-time talented team met an overtime talented team. Boy meet man. The talent ran very deep on that opposing team...

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would lose the composer in the same situation.

Maybe the reason he looked bad is because he wasn't given a chance with that O-line going against that defense. You get drilled enough you not going to be composed no matter who you are, because self preservation kicks and you start protecting yourself sooner and sooner rather than sticking it out to make the throw that you might have to step into and then get annihilated.

Then there is rhythm and if it's not established then it's going to be a long night. There are games were the rhythm isn't right and it's a poor outing for a QB and/or team but add the fact that there is no rhythm because the other team is pummeling you because it can get started.

Default Cathedral is crushing foes right now.

I think that Columbus East score was the one touchdown allowed in the last 11 quarters by the Irish. They are mighty on defense and their offense is rolling up huge scores.
The Irish raced out to a 49-0 halftime lead and held on for a 61-14 win in the opening game of the sectional.
The Irish came from behind to beat Roncalli with a TD with only 3 minutes left. They now move on to play Greenwood next Friday for the sectional championship.
The Irish overcame a sluggish start and rallied to beat Greenwood by the score of 38-14.
The Irish won their 6th straight semistate by the score of 35-0 over Pendleton Heights.
And then last night's blowout of number 3 ranked Columbus East 62 to 7

7 of the 8 teams to make the state championships in Indiana in Divisions A through 4A are Catholic schools.

Championship Games:

Friday, November 25, 2011
Class A | Lafayette Central Catholic (14-0) vs. Indianapolis Scecina (11-3) | 3:30 pm ET
Class 2A | Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (12-1) vs. Evansville Mater Dei (13-1) | 7 pm ET

Saturday, November 26, 2011
Class 3A | South Bend St. Joseph’s (12-2) vs. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (12-2) | Noon ET
Class 4A | South Bend Washington (11-3) vs. Indianapolis Cathedral (11-3) | 3:30 pm ET
Class 5A | Penn (14-0) vs. Carmel (13-1) | 7:05 pm ET

I'm pretty sure this list is from last year. Carmel knocked warren out in the sectional championship. The 5a championship is Carmel and penn and the 4a championship is between cathedral and David Perkins' Washington high school. Washington should get destroyed. Cathedral is playing on a completely different level right now. They are probably the best team in state.

I hope John Turner and Cathedral shut down Gehrig Dieter. I'm so tired of that clown ragging on ND that I'd love nothing more than for an ND recruit to outplay him.

I don't follow recruiting too closely. What has Gehrid Deiter sp* been saying about ND?

I remember his name popping up a few times on the recruiting board.

One of the stupider things he has said, on Twitter, is that Floyd is not a very good receiver, runs sloppy routes, and won't have a good NFL career. It's just little digs like this that periodically crop up because of a case of sour grapes. If the kid weren't so arrogant and constantly bragging about his records, I would actually be rooting for him to get an ND offer. But I just think players like this must be poisonous to team chemistry.

Deiter = punk and punk = Deiter.

Not many recruits I say negative things about but could care less about this kid. He belongs at a Tier 2 school where he jump around like he won the super bowl after making a 5 yard catch against a Div II school.

I don't even think he belongs at Purdue or MSU. Ball State is more up his alley.

I dont want to state the obvious but I want to because he's such a punk for saying that...seriously? Michael Floyd is an All American, and EVERYONE KNOWS he will be going in the first round and this kid hasn't even played a down of college ball...kid, get your head out of your ***

WOW......probably the dumbest sh*t I have ever read online....It's ok, wait till he plays college ball...he'll figure out he won't be getting any 400 receiving yards in one game...even in Div II
