Default Charlotte RB Elijah Hood Offered

Brian Kelly personally delivered his offer....

Seen this kid play for 2 years now and he is a stud, lightning fast and loves contact.

I've been talking to him about about ND as long as i have known him and we are one of his favorites and said he will definitly visit more than once....

He tore up NC football this season.

Kid is a junior (just to clarify); highly rated by all:

Nice find, 33! Hey, I thought you were a Miami man -- when did you move north?

I see he is listed as an "athlete" on 247. Is he being recruited as a RB, or is that just what he plays in high school?

A friend of mine that follows area football and has for decades says he is probably the best player to come out of Charlotte. Period. Saw that Kelly dropped his offer off when he was in town for the Nagurski ceremony and was wondering if he'd get his own thread on here.

Really hope we continue the CLT pipeline with him and Blazevich. Farley's represented well this year.

Oh I haven't. He just hasn't had the reps yet to show how good he is. Mark Harrell is up there redshirting this year as well. Hopefully Hood wants to run behind his blocking again.

Blanton started this Charlotte run a year or two after I moved hear. We've had other NC guys like Raeshon McNeil and Kerry Neal in the last 5-6 years as well. Glad to see it continuing and hope it does in 2014 as well.

seems like a good RB... I wonder how many RBs the staff wants to take next year. I wouldnt mind having Sony and Elijah Hood, but that is a dream scenario.

Seems like he has plenty of interest in ND, is there any film on him?

He's also expected to become an Eagle Scout. Sounds like someone else we know:

If he can stay healthy and keep doing this at the next level, we may have found Theo's replacement. Hits the line hard and if he gets through, he's got break away speed. How fast the defenders, that's another question. But he looks like a great RB. Hope his interest doesn't waiver.

GO IRISH!!!

Oh and he apparently told Alabama he wasn't interested in being recruited by them due to their poor academics.

Now that is impressive. Recruiting is so much more fun now that we are on top.

I wonder what Saban's rebuttal to this was. Certainly a unique response from a potential recruit.

Wow - this kid gets into the open field and he gone!

I love the hand delivery of the offer too. Nice move by BK.

LOL, if you know him, tell him he just got mad respect from ND fans. FINALLY, a recruit sees a school for more than just a football factory and tells the school about it! If he did that, he is my favorite recruit for 2014!

Yes, please.

As a bonus, he wears the number of my favorite RBs of all time (Bo, Campbell, Sweetness, Walker).

He doesn't have the track speed of a Bo or Hershel, but he is plenty fast and he runs with an attitude.

He's build like a man already. Crazy.

The defenses in this video are horrendous. Spread out to pinch blitz/stop the sweeps and outside runs while he pile-dives right up the gut. Hope he's just really good and not just playing against ****** comp.

He is nothing like Campbell or Walker. Come on...

Actually he reminds me of UF's Emmett Smith. Slightly bigger but similar running style. Doesn't seem super fast. Good back...
