Default Meyer Dug by Dig'ems

I was talking to an SEC fan yesterday who said we should absolutely go after Meyer. To that I say we need to keep our integrity and say no. The newest Blog post on www.theirishwire.com is on why we should not offer Meyer again, ever.

The days are long gone where ND can get "any" coach we want. If that were the case, we WOULD have Urban Meyer already......

CW's success is important for ND. If he fails then we are going to struggle for several more years. If he succeeds (which I believe he will), then it gets us back on the path to being THE football team.

....and my opinion is that Urban Meyer will never be on the ND sidelines again (for many many many reasons).

I'll worry about Meyer when Charlie is gone, which I hope isnt for a long time.

IF Charlie Weis is gone after this year (btw, I'm a big supporter of him) I'm for getting Kyle Whittingham (sounds like Ty Willingham, eeeeksss!)

I thought the replacing of CW topic was dead as well. Why do we keep bringing up Meyer or anyone else to be the next head coach?

He was seen at an nd practice a little while ago with some nd gear on I believe. Has he ever said he was done coaching, or is going to try to find a job somewhere?

I don't think Weis is going to be gone after this year. I just got in a conversation with someone at school yesterday. So the buzz, especially in the SEC is still out there.

Tom, I feel most are just tired of Bourbon Meyer talk. However, the talk is the nature of the beast and won't be settled till Weis wins.
