Default FCS National Title

Anyone watching this? How in the heck did this Trey Lance kid not end up in the power 5? I bet he could start at ND at some point.

Looks like everyone whiffed on that one.

there are always misses. However, how often does Notre Dame even get FCS transfers? I am under the impression that they do not do them very often, if not all. Who was the last FCS transfer?

I think 95% of the transfers are guys going down to the FCS so they donít have to sit out. James Madison had the old Pitt qb and a receiver from Penn State.

If I were Trey Lance I would see what my options were when it comes to transferring to a power 5 team. Iím sure he could start at a bunch of mid level schools.

He was a 3* with an offer from Boise St. Maybe he sees what Carson Wentz is doing and thinks he can still play in the NFL if he stays at NDSU

Yeah I saw that after looking at his profile, still the reason I was surprised was there were no power 5 schools that offered him.

There always missed I guess, weíve seen that first hand with Crist and Barnett.

Honestly, if I was a 3* QB who only had offers for low-tier D1 school or NDSU, I would pick NDSU almost every time. I would be part of a powerhouse program which will only make me look better in terms of my production over the course of the years.

He also went to high school in western Minnesota, just 3+ hour drive from NDSU.

That's probably small school football with weak competition. Most likely not on the radar of most P5 schools. And agree with NDHoosier about going to NDSU over lower non P5 schools.
