I wouldn't call him connected looking at his Twitter account. Has 3 followers and 5 tweets. I am sure he may have some info being a former player but does anyone know how he could still be connected?

Michael Floyd was not a member of the Irish for the 2011 Blue Gold game either, if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the info. I was obviously unaware he was still connected that closely to the program.

so either, they're working that "other thing" out, or there's another reason for why he wants to leave, or maybe Brian doesn't want him. |

Face it. Nobody likes the drama. We have already written him off but the fact remains that he is the best pass rusher in college football and Kelly knows it. Do special players get special treatment? You bet! Do coaches like it? Coaches like winning and getting paid more than losing Bc they wouldn't let the all star play. If #19 stays he plays period.

You can stay, but you aren't on the team as of now. If you wan to be on the team, here is what you need to do. If you do those things, you are welcome back on the team. If you don't, enjoy Florida.

This rumor was tee'd up when it was stated that he would continue to attend ND as a student. When the reality and magnitude of your decision starts to set in it's natural to second guess yourself.
He's still interacting and likely still close to guys that he's gone to battle with and forged a bond--I'm sure there has to be some pressure on him from friends/teammates to stay. Add in the realization that he won't be seeing these guys on a day-to-day basis and you've got a recipe for regret. If Aaron stays, I hope his heart and head are in it and he fully commits himself to the team and that it doesn't end up like a break up: "I miss you! Let's get back together" even though the things you broke up over are still issues. At that point, you're just acting on emotion and short-term gratification. If he leaves, then I hope he finds whatever it is he needs and can become a contributing member of society and use his status to help others. |

He has received his release to USF already. He could not visit there this weekend or even talk to them without it.

While I was a huge Lynch fan and thought he was the best talent on the whole roster I believe it is time to let him go. If he can't man up and stick it out for the team and the degree then he would be better off elsewhere. However, I would love to see him still in a ND uniform but it just does not seem a fit for him anymore.

If it was about seeing his girlfriend he would have split already. Now if she's pregnant and he wants to a be around that's a different story. the weather excuse don't work with such a mild winter we had. why would he quit during the spring practice? I would think he would be happy or at least occupied I don't say this as an attack, but aaron is a mama's boy who seem to need attention. I think his switching from ND to fsu to ND was all about the attention or lack thereof. Hell, kelly did not even know his mom moved to ohio. You just don't see a lot of starters transferring in football. He probably needs a little more butt kissing that comes along with being recruited. My guess is kelly called his bluff and showed him where the exits were. Lets someone who wants to be here get the reps in practice. Anyway, Thanks to goldeng for posting this rumor. I expected this rumor to surface just as others did but it's better then those who claim they knew everything after the fact. |

Seems like there are some on this board who have never reversed decisions or had a change of heart.
Must be nice... ![]() ![]()

Maybe, maybe not. Supposedly still in the air. The GF is on NDs side and willing to move to SB. Doesn't like the thought of sitting out a year. Some things ate in NDs favor. Still a better chance that he leaves... But who knows?
