Apparently he was expressing concern with the coaching stability at ND (according to the ND Rivals twitter account), so this decision makes complete sense.

And he thinks that DickRod's situation is better. AYFKM! That is the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time.

It took me way longer than it should have to figure out what AYFKM means. But yes, the proper response is AYFKM?!?!

I for one really don't care. I know it's bad form to say, "We dodged a bullet" but I have never been high on him like Huggins.

I'll be the first to admit, Lynch was a true loss and it still stings but losing Hayes really does not worry me in the least.

We'll get our RB and he will love ND and be just as good as Hayes or even better. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for losing Lynch.

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand how people think RR is going to get fired. Did Michigan have a great season? Nope. But the guy has an offense that works for him. I honestly think he'll be given another year.

If anyone from Mich gets canned, it will be Greg Robinson.

The Michigan coaching situation is not stable, that's what we were saying. He'll probably get another year (god willing), but that situation is the opposite of stable.

From our perspective, we see his offense and think it keeps them in every game. It worries other defensive coordinators. From the perspective of UM fans, they are frustrated to no end by getting pounded by Wisconsin, making a PSU walk-on QB look like a Heisman candidate, losing to MSU again, losing to OSU for how many years and counting...

This guy is in his 3rd year, and they are still a long way from the Big Ten elite. Are they improved? Yes. But to their fans, they still have a poor Big Ten record in RRs tenure. Also, look at their wins this year. They gave up a LOT of points to UConn, who was not the Big East power people thought they'd be. They almost lost to UMass and to Indiana. In fact, probably their best win was against Illinois, who also lost to Minnesota at home.

They may very well get pounded this weekend again in Columbus.

Yes, their fan base is very frustrated. Will it get RR one more year? We'll have to see. If you read their media, they are saying that if RR can't fix their defense, he has to go.

If Hayes goes there because of coaching stability, he is not reading the local papers. There must be more to the story, like we ticked him off and he is going there out of spite.

By the way schell - great definition of pledge. Definitely post of the month, if not, in the AP Top 25 posts of the year.

Coach Kelly is absolutely safe with his job. I don't know where Hayes gets his info from but unless B.K. quits I don't see him going anywhere.

“I don’t think I can put myself in that situation,” Hayes added of Michigan. “It’s like jumping onto a sinking ship. I don’t want to put myself in that position.”

I think the coaching stability remark by hayes was most likely " AIMED AS A SHOT"--just his way of insulting BK--subtext--" the bum is losing so many games he won't be around long"!!

It was either a -SHOT--or it was idiotic---my guess it had nothing to do with coaching stability and just his way of saying he's not impressed with kelly so far!

If i am right and it is not simply an "IDIOTIC REMARK"--but is in fact a little vindictive jab, it would follow that hayes may very well have been gently ignored for a different agenda by the staff!

I guess we won't know till we see where--HUGGINS/CARLILSE/MCDANIEL GO!

aloha's

DickRod told him he could be the QB in a few years

Either that or he really wants to play for Harbaugh at Michigan

I'll have to admit I am quite shocked at how quicly Hayes as gone from pro ND recruit to Michigan pledge. I'm sure it will all work out for ND in Feb. but I am still surprised at the turnaround of events. Better now than later though. GO GET HUGGINS BK!

I just don't understanding why the staff would push Hayes away. If they are getting Huggins, why not keep Hayes around for the slot;especially since Hayes was so gung-ho for ND?

I don't think ND's staff pushed Justice away. I think he sees the writing on the wall, that he wasn't going to be the featured back. If we wanted significant playing time it would be at a different position. I think he's choosing MI becuase it's familiar. He has no clue what the future holds for MI coach.
