Very good athlete. Staff likes him at CB, but also thinks he has ability at S. A stellar high RB too. Very good 3 star pick up from an athletic/molding standpoint.

Staff will fight over whether landon becomes a slot receiver or a nickel back. I think There's more of a need at Nickel

I think he is defense all the way. They really like his length in the defensive backfield and never recruited him as an offensive player. However, you never know and it is good that he has the versatility to play both sides of the ball.

One down and two more to go. Solid pick up. He worked for it and got the green light to join.

With Bartlesonís potential to play safety. Do the coaches still take both Nixon and Offord if they want to join?

Could Offord also play safety with his size?

No Doubt we're gonna need him as a DB first, another guy who could return a kick or two for sure.

Sounds like a confusing commitment with a confusing position assignment. A 3 Star athlete at a position where we have 4 star needs and no confusion about the position he will we play? I guess itís a backup for 3 years? Am I missing something?

track athlete for sure. As Vegas says he'll play DB. He's from the south and can run. ND has some of these guys every year. Julian Love wasn't that highly rated so we'll see.

Not looking like we will get any 4 star DB talent this year. Though ratings can change. Hamilton was a 3 star at one point in time last year.

There isn't really confusion on where he will play. They want him at field corner. He has the speed to play field and the length to be very good. These are the 3 stars you want, because his athleticism is of 4 star caliber. He simply has the flexibility to play safety if need be, which is a trait coveted as well.

I just made a suggestion looking at his film, my bad if i'm the cause of confusion. I just know offensive coaches like speed too. and they might ask about him as all coaches do.

Bartleson, as noted above, is a terrific two-way player. He was initially targeted by many schools as a running back, which is reflected on his ranking with 247Sports and the 247Sports Composite. However, with his decision to play defensive back now official, look for him to be reevaluated and reranked in the near future.

He has mostly been an offensive player in HS so it is certainly not a stretch to make those sorts of suggestions. The important part is the staff has a plan in place for him as a corner. If those things don't work out for whatever reason, he has the tools to play safety, RB or WR. IMO, that is a good thing. Athletes of his caliber should always be welcomed.

He looked real fast on film and 4.4 confirms that to me. So whether on defense or offense. Welcome to ND young man.
