Default Minnesota vs Penn State

Got ourselves a great game here.

I’m not going to sing the praises of Fleck just yet, even though I’m a big fan of his. However, his offence looks well prepared and is executing so much better than I’ve ever seen of a Kelly offence.

A bunch of two and three stars plus a qb who was only wanted by MAC schools and they look miles better than what Kelly/Long have put out there.

Yeah, no doubt Fleck is good but if ND wins 9-10 again and Swarbrick doesn't retire, I still think Kelly writes his own ticket. Could see Fleck to FSU.

Very offensive game here. two very exciting offenses

Dont show elder this game, fleck is a bum who cant coach for crap and shouldn't be allowed to clean Brian Kelly's shoes. If he wins this game it's a bigger win then kellys had in a decade here

That "Rocket Screen" they executed for the TD was a thing of beauty. We run that all the time and it never is well coordinated. The irony is that Holtz either created it, or was the first to really execute it well.

screens are fun. They are most fun when you have a back who runs sub 4.4 and you get blocks like Rocket did.

Thatís just it, a guy that runs that quick all he needs is a chip block because heís by the tackler in no time.

I'm really hoping the guy in the current recruiting class sticks, hes a electronic timed sub 4.4. Players beat elite teams in my opinion, not coaches..

The Minn. guy didn't have Rocket speed, but had good speed and their linemen coordinated their blocks beautifully. Our linemen look lost out there in space.

Penn State's QB is flawed like Book is. I've questioned whether they are top 4 worthy. Turnovers like that from the Gophers will help the cause.

Minnesota could lose by 2 TDs and, considering the talent gap, it would still show what PJ can do with below average players against a top 5 team.

Care to elaborate? I threw out the recruiting class rankings for PSU and Minnesota since Fleck has been their coach.

PSU has much, much better players. They're a top 5 team in November. If Minnesota can lose by less than 2 scores (or even pull out a win), that's 100% coaching.

Minnesota extended his contract because they know fully well big boy teams are going to steal him away after this season. Won't be us though...lol.

Only the greatest coaches lose games by multiple touchdowns I guess

With his extension just signed, I'm guessing another school would have to back pay a huge buyout to get him.

Hahaha so a coach in his 3rd year at Minnesota--a team that has never been regarded as a football school--- should be held to the same standard as the coach at Notre Dame in his 10th year? LOL.

BK just lost by over 4 touchdowns to a team outside the top 10....when we were ranked in the top 10. Unbelievable.

I'm all of a sudden curious about how many times in the last 30 years that a team ranked in the top 10 was beaten that badly by a team outside the top 10.

Enjoyed how they brought in that big WR in Wildcat and shoved it down PSU's throat.

I felt the same way about Dan Mullen at Mississippi State. Some people don't know how hard it is to win at some of these historically lousy schools.

They used to be a power in the 30' and ealy 40's under Bierman. Long time ago but technically they have some history.
