Default Senior Bowl - Practice Updates

There will be several ND players taking part in the Reese's Senior Bowl, which is the premier event for seniors leading up to the NFL combine/draft. Troy Pride, Jalen Elliot, Alohi Gilman, and Chase Claypool are all on the North Team. Julian Okwara and Khalid Kareem were invited, but both are out with injuries. Kareem was advised to skip the Senior Bowl to get healthy in preparation for the combine. The game takes place on Saturday.

Pride has been really impressive, per reports.

Sounds like all 4 Irish players did well. Jalen Elliot was named DB of the week. Troy Pride was named Pro Football Focus' biggest riser. Alohi Gilman made several player of the day lists for at least one of the days. Claypool sounds like he also impressed.

You know, I felt like Jalen Elliott's name was not called very often during season. With the hard hitting Gilman and the true freshman phenom, he kind of felt like a 3rd wheel. Maybe it was because they didnt throw his way very often. I am actually quite surprised by how much love he is getting right now.

As for Pride, really happy for him improving his stock. I always felt Pride was lacking in the turnover department but thinking back he was pretty solid and never gave up the huge play. I will say, if he turned to look for the ball more often he would have had 10+ career picks.
