Default Report: ND Players Returning to Campus June 6

At least one site is reporting that players will begin returning to campus the weekend of June 6. It sounds like they will stagger it so that not all players return at once. Players would be quarantined upon their return and tested, and, because dorms are closed, they would live in the Morris Inn.

Decision on whether ND will play Navy in Ireland should be made by the end of this week. It sounds most likely that the game will be played in Annapolis or D.C.

No real information on what ND plans to do in terms of gameday attendance/fans.

Thanks! You read my mind...randomly again today. I was going to ask this question of when will players arrive. Clemson and Alabama I believe are also allowing kids to return around this time too. So, football seems likely a go for some teams this year.

I'm curious what the NCAA will do when a player inevitably tests positive. Will it be a team by team issue or will the NCAA have definitive rules. The players themselves probably have nothing to fear from a diagnosis, but it'll be interesting when someones starting QB has symptoms before a big game...

Annapolis might actually happen this go around if there are no crowds allowed at the games because I'm sure that's Navy's preference.

Yes, because group exposure has absolutely nothing to do with it...

And if you think this isn’t a litmus test for things to come, you’re foolish.

If there’s not a huge spike nationally by Thursday, it means nothing.

I’ll gauge this aspect of it based on reporting from campuses over the next two weeks...

Yeah, they’re much more at risk than people protesting in close proximity to thousands of other people.

But if there’s no large outbreak from this, then what? Hard to imagine there’s any other conditions more conducive to spreading the virus.
