still surprised that Jordan Botelho didn't make the top 100. i'll be interested to see what kind of jump Xavier watts makes.

I am too a little bit, but he just had some bad injury luck in the summer - he missed The Opening and I think he could have really raised his stock. But he gets another chance at the All American Bowl. I think he could make a big move there.

The top 10ish guys in this class really excite me. Really solid class, albeit small. Obviously, corners are a question mark, but I trust the staff that they found a few gems there - specifically I have high hopes for Bartleson.

Also, if the staff is able to somehow flip McMillan - much better chance with Peterson stepping down - I wouldn’t be shocked to see Watts or Brunelle on defense.

Is bothello expected to be a linebacker or weak side end in our system?

My thoughts

Pyne and Bauman too high. Botelho too low. Mills about right. Watts and Carmody should be in here

The only one ranked too low IMO that won't have a chance to really change it is Watts. Keanaaina, Botelho, and Carmody have All-american practice and games to show out, or not.

The two guys in front of him are 5-star freaks. It's no knock on Mayer that he is #3. He got a nice bump in the overall rankings. If this was another year, I think he'd be a 5-star. He's that good, won the MVP at the Opening, and just dominated this season. But I don't think Rivals wants 3 TEs as 5-stars - it shouldn't matter, but that's my guess.

Botelho is outrageously good. Has potential to be an All-American.

That’s how I feel about Watts. Everyone but the ratings services loves the kid.
