For far too long now, politicians of all stripes have been putting themselves, their party, their friends and donors first, to the detriment of the country. They should be doing what is best for the country, first and foremost.

I know, I know, I'm probably dreaming by this point.

The response to the covid 19 pandemic has been a disaster.

I must say though, not all politicians are atrocious. It's 99% of them that give the rest a bad name.

We may need to start an investigation into Canadian influence on the 2020 election.

I’d bet if Congress were to reach down and dig really really deep, they’d find that someone in the Trump organization has had a conversation in a bar with someone distantly related to someone in the Canadian Administration.
Heck, if they REALLY were bold, they might find someone on the Biden team may even have spoken with someone from north of the border. But that would take real fortitude. They might find something they don’t like there and then spend a ton of political and media capital on how to spin that.

I can explain that for you. Voters were sick and tired of voting for career politicians who ended up serving only their own interests once elected into office. Trump offered the angle of a guy who wasnt a politician who would serve interests without allegiance to a political party. After obama, who angered lots of voters by getting involved with local police/private shooting events that were high visibility, voters wanted a candidate who might be more level headed and indifferent to the desires of political agendas.

Now all of those voters realize that trump failed to deliver on literally all of those promises. The population is now relegated to deciding which of our 2 sh|tbag candidates are the lesser of 2 evils. The trump experiment is over. He has behaved exactly like the cookie cutter politician he promised to destroy.

At the time it may have been an experiment worth entertaining...but weve all seen enough. If biden gets elected, it wilp be purely out of the spite trump has created for himself. We are screwed either way.

What promises has Trump failed to deliver on? I've seen more action taken by this administration to fulfill campaign promises than any I can recall in my lifetime. And this has been done with 24/7 negative media coverage, constant attacks by the D's and RINOs, spying and BS investigations against him, etc etc during and leading up to his presidency. If nothing else it has shown exactly why he is delivering or attempting to get things done, which completely flies in the face of the DC establishment what it has done which is very little to nothing for Americans for decades now, and that swamp is using everything they can to take him out.

Giving bailout money to his millionaire corporate friends and including a tax loophole for taxpayers making over a million dollars a year during a pandemic is a start.

The oxygen masks come down and the mothers with their child are told to place their own mask on first instead of the child first. It's so the Mother can stay awake and healthy to take care of the child.

No matter what you say, what facts which there are many that you lay at their feet, they HATE him sooo much that they'd rather see this Country burn and people die than give credit to Trumps successes and his victories.

I guess we see things differently. The swamp is certainly draining, and the corruption of it is being exposed more and more each passing day. The Fed goverment as a whole going back decades has done a terrible job with pretty much everything. They would f up a wet dream. Not sure what critical programs you are referring to, though I have some guesses. We can argue about things that are going on and whether Trump gets credit. What I do suspect is serious things stopped and are being reversed for the better by individuals who finally had enough and decided to do something about it. I just happen to believe he falls in that category.

I'm enjoying the movie, its gonna get even juicier and bigger as the weeks tick by.

Clearly this is a sarcastic post. I pretty much stopped reading when you said Trump practices “God, Family, and country.” And when you stop sending aid and pull out of every single thing that can help other countries militarily or financially, that is “not” leading by example. Also, He’s basically **** on every ally and befriended every dictator that’s out there. He’s also one of the few presidents that is benefitting financially from the presidency while in office. Even Bush Jr. gave up his business rights. So, Pretty much everything you have said I completely disagree with. That’s why I think he’ll go down as one of the worst presidents in history. Next to Bush. But the right will raise him up like Reagan as if he should be put on Mt. Rushmore with Reagan. It's all politics. Many of us like one candidate and one party more than another. It's been this way since the country was founded. We citizens don't see eye-to-eye on issues. It's the beauty of having a society in which we get to vote for the philosophies we like. If we end up on the losing end, there's always another vote two or four years away. Heck, we can even jump into it ourselves.
I know that many on DD don't agree with me on many issues. That's actually terrific. It's just a small piece of life in this amazing country.

Maybe we do. I was all for giving a non-politician a chance, hoping it would change the course of our nation's leadership...but i was wrong. The swamp was drained of libs and filled with trump's friends and relatives. Ive no idea how he still has support from his constituents, but im pretty sure its 100% due to an uncanny hatred for democrats.

I understand your point about his family/friends taking positions. I believe that's entirely a trust issue that has served him well in his life, and its for sure played out since taking office with the amount of turncoats and saboteurs he's dealt with that carried over from previous administrations. I'm hoping corruption does not follow. I will freely admit I'm not a fan of all of his policies. Some that I questioned I ended up supporting later as I saw how it would play out, and hope that continues as the bigger picture and framework being established takes shape.

Hate for dems, perhaps, for me its hate for a large number of people on both sides who have sold out America and its citizens continually while enriching themselves and making us weaker to forces both internal and external that undermine our values and way of life.
