2022 Football Schedule - Cake Walk

ND has an easy schedule in 2022. Ohio State, Stanford, Navy, Clemson, USC. They forgot Alabama and Oklahoma. Maybe that's to be announced.

Sep. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes

Sep. 10 Marshall Thundering Herd

Oct. 15 Stanford Cardinal

Oct. 22 Navy Midshipmen

Nov. 5 Clemson Tigers

Nov. 26 USC Trojans

Dates TBA North Carolina Tar Heels

Date TBA Boston College Eagles

Date TBA Syracuse Orange

JoeBrasco 11-08-2019 05:38 PM

Well hopefully they can keep the 2020 and 2021 classes together. That schedule will not seem as scary with some of the players they have coming in.

ND_JACK 11-08-2019 05:46 PM

Even one of the easier games against Syracuse is at Syracuse inside their dome. Remember the last time Willingham brought the Irish to the dome. I am still not over how bad we played. That dome with 50,000 is much louder then ND sold out.

Good thing that USC will probably be in year three of a new "outside" coach that season. If so, then no way they can be expected to be better than they are now.

coltssb 11-08-2019 06:24 PM

I think the Day honeymoon may be over then too. They will still be scary good. I just donít know how good until Day has his own recruiting classes.

The ungodly and brilliant PJ Fleck will have 2 National Titles by then.

Maybe Alabama and Oklahoma ARE on the schedule, cause there's only nine games listed

corysold 11-08-2019 09:01 PM

Doesn't seem much worse than any other year.

Ohio St. will probably be good.

Stanford will be average at best by then.

USC will be good.

Clemson won't have Lawrence anymore and maybe Swinney has taken over at Bama by that point and it's at ND.

If ND is worried about Navy, the season is lost anyway.

Who knows who the other three games will be, but 10+ wins wouldn't seem crazy.

ELDER06 11-08-2019 09:05 PM

Itís also 3 yrs from now. A lot can change.

Look at Holtz's 1989 schedule, where he went 12-1, and the opponent's final AP Poll Ranking. He played number's 1, 4,7,8, 15, 16, 18

Virginia (#18
Michigan (#7)
Michigan State (#16)
Purdue
Stanford
Air Force
USC (#8
Pitt (#17)
Navy
SMU
Penn State (#15)
Miami Fla. (#1)
Colorado (Bowl) (#4)

I feel bad for you guys who see a schedule and know the season is over before it even begins.

That was my freshman year, Frankus.

Your weird obsession with pj fleck and how terrible you say he is is becoming borderline stalker

Iím not the one who thinks ND should fire Kelly for him.

TexasDomer 11-09-2019 02:08 PM

Wow. Just keep your arguments in the coaching threads.

ELDER06 11-09-2019 08:53 PM

In all fairness, this is kind of dumb. Itís 3 yrs off and I sure, thereís options in the contracts of the non acc games that let them move the series.

BK wonít either. And will have twice the talent that Fleck has. Whatís your point?

Give Fleck the same talent and resources that BK has had for TEN YEARS and letís see what Fleck does. Wait, I know I know....BK just needs another 5 more years and we will be right there competing for a natty! Lmao!

Fleck will eventually blow a big game playing conservatively and the shine will wear off. If not for the Offensive PI, they would’ve lost. 13 yards of Offense in the 4th Qtr. I don’t want the second coming of Jim Tressell.

He won. Iím still TEN YEARS AND WAITING FOR BK TO WIN ONE! Of course fleck will lose games. All coaches do. But good coaches win big games more often than not. BK has maybe one borderline top win in 10 years. Again let me say this so your pea brain can grasp it: TEN YEARS!!!

And let me remind you, ND is the HARDEST P5 job to consistently win at, except Stanford.

So does that excuse him for not ever winning any big games EVER??? This is laughable. BK barely beats average to mediocre teams and then always gets boat raced in just about every big game. You keep on believing the BK story. Have fun with that.

Heís won big games (OK Ď12, USC Ď17, Michigan Ď18). Thereís no excuse for the Michigan game, but itís also incredibly naive to get so caught up in the moment. Thatís called Recency Bias. Fleck landed a big win, but he almost blew it and hes not proven anything consistently.

Okl is the only win that would remotely count as a big win. Barely.

USC and mich last year?? Are you serious? Neither of those teams were good! I donít have the info in front of me but I think they both lost 4 games that year.

Thanks for reaffirming my point.

They both had 3 losses that year. Mich got housed 41-13 by Florida in their bowl.

USC got rolled by OSU in their bowl 24-7.

And these are your ďBig WinsĒ. Again, in TEN YEARS!!!! You keep ignoring that last part.
