Thanks! I'm 44. Ran in the military. Then ran for about 3 years in my 30's. Picked it back up about a year ago more to lose weight than to run fast. First mile is key if I hit a good pace and get in a rytham I usually do good. I train a lot smarter and more disciplined now that I'm older. Run 3-4 miles 6 days a week. Usually at 9 min/mile pace. Run intervals once a week and only run a fast 5k every other week. All of my runner friends are more into distance. I can't really run over 5 miles. I lose focus and get bored after about 40-45 min.
Good to hear from another runner! Keep on running!
