Welcome USA. It's cool seeing someone from NM here. I have family in Albequerque, Hobbs, Artesia, Rosswell (I was born there), Loco Hills, I could go on. My Dad's from Artesia and my Mom's mom is from Artesia too. I've been up and down that state for years, spent a few summers down there. Again, welcome.
