Apparently, Mike Brey wasn't too happy about getting snubbed this year so he was determined to make sure to eliminate the strentgh of schedule problem. We have a road trip to Alabama, a neutral site game against N.C. State (The Wooden Classic) and home dates with Vermont and Michigan. I'm a little worried that we need to get our freshmen's feet wet since they will be counted on to be solid contributors to the team. The early schedule looks tough. I would rather rack up the wins than worry about quality oppnents. What's your take?
Well I don't think he would put much emphasis on scheduling these guys unless he was confident that he could win a high percentage of our non-c games. We will have to be a very tough opponent to these teams if we are to have a good record along with this respected schedule. My take is, is that if he wants to schedule em, he better win a lot of em.

I'd rather schedule tough and know what you have then play the cup-cakes and think your something special until you play the big boys. IMO the best way to get the freshman ready is to throw them to the wolves and see what you have. Besides, with Quinn, Falls, Francis, Cornette, and Carter it's not like we have to rely completely on the freshman.

I'm not saying that we have to rely on the freshmen, but I think Ryan Ayers and Kyle McArlarney are going to have to be dependable subs to step in and contribute when needed. I do think that Zeller needs to develope quickly because we need him as a mid-range threat.
