Our class so far

I wrote an article about the class (on the front page) but I'd like to hear your opinions. Do you like our class so far? Who do we need to commit?

I think that we need a couple key recruits for each postion. The wide receiver postion would either be filled by Robby Parris or Richard Jackson. O Line we need a few more than any other, with the likes of: Matt Carufu,l Bartley Webb, and Sam Young. D line I think with the commits we already only need a defensive tackle which should be Jason Kates or Gerald McCoy. LineBacker I would love to have Allen Bradford even though its a long shot, and Toyran Smith or Jeremiha Hunter. At cornerback I would like Rashon McNeil and Darren Walls. Saftey would be Taylor Mays and Steve Brown. Finally at kicker we would have Kai Forbath. By the way I liked the article.

Thanks, I don't really follow recruiting that much at all so I was on like 10 different sites getting info before I wrote it.

I think that the class so far is a great start, but the Irish need a few more gamebreakers. I think they need Matt Carufel, who they will likely get because he is from one of ND's feeder schools, Cretin Derham. They need Darrin Walls and from the sound of it they might just pull the stunner and lock up Steve Brown. We absolutely need either Sam Young or Taylor Mays. Both players can make strong impacts at relatively weak spots. We do need Young moreso than Mays because the DB's are abundant. Great article. It was rather informative.

I enjoyed the article. The nice (but ultimately frustrating) thing about recruiting is that for the most part it's simpy based on conjecture and opinion. There really is no "wrong" way to look at it. As far as a recruiting wish list, there are still plenty of intriguing possibilities out there. Assuming we get D. Walls and a couple other defensive studs, I would most like to see us grab Steve Brown out of left field. One of those guys that you just get the feeling he will be amazing. That's my 2 cents.

I'm not so sure about that. Sam Young is at a much bigger position of need that TM is. Yes, he is an all world athlete but our safeties haven't really been the problem. If we didn't have SY, we would be hurting.
