The Notre Dame men's basketball team will be taking on Georgia tonight on ESPN2. While you're on your sixth meal slumping on the couch wiping your forehead, why not click over to the deuce and support the Irish in what starts to be a real "murderers row?"

that's weak.
I get tired of explaining it, but that's the summary. It's far from weak. The fact that bastard is still our coach is what's weak, especially with the number of alumni who hate his ass. I'm not explaining this anymore, but I root against my alma mater every basketball game as long as he's at the helm.

ND defeats Georgia in two overtimes after storming back from a first-half twelve-point deficit, 89-83. A great determined team-effort that exhibited the maturation of ND's true-freshman, Eric Atkins. Notre Dame's remarkable comeback was greatly helped by Tyrone Nash's resurgence in the post among other things. Been awhile since ND's pulled out a grinding double overtime game. Hope everyone had the privilege of watching it.

Rooting against kids who play for ND is never acceptable, no matter whos coaching. I can see being fine with them losing, but actively rooting against them is pathetic.

I had the privilege and my family couldn't help getting caught up in the game too. Nice win.

Nothing is going to change until we do that. Hell, I'm all for these kids going to other programs. I'm tired of this crap ass coach. If he did what he's doing in football, he'd have a 3 year shelf life. Because it's ONLY basketball, though, we have to put up with him making kids worse and being a pisspoor game coach. It's not like he's Calipari and can use his talent to overcome his crappy coaching.
These kids need to look at other programs. Quit coming to ND until we get another coach. There are plenty of other programs that celebrate academics and basketball at the same time where you can play.
Like I said, I'm not the only one who feels this strongly about this coach. Most of the alumni do. The loss to ODU flipped the switch from being happy they lost to actively rooting for other programs. We all want that F'er gone ASAP. Too bad the Zorich/Reporter love triangle didn't blow up more than it did.

Also, I root against kids who play for a whole lot of other schools; but that's acceptable, apparently.

Wow, this thread ventured off course. Get a grip Wave, even I, a staunch Brey hater, can give credit to Brey for making the second-half change on defense to an exaggerated zone... It was a great adjustment and he did a great job of getting this team ready to fight.
**lets try to stay on topic now as this thread has nothing to do with whether or not we approve of Brey as the head coach

Great job for coach Brey. This should be a quality win. Georgia is going to challenge in the SEC....very athletic......very quick. Nash has become a go to guy under coach Brey.
When Martin develops we will really be good. Atkins looks like he will be a stud. Cooley has made leaps and bounds from last year. Enjoy a good season guys.

We owned a 44 game home win streak, have been to the tourney 3 of the last four years (the football team has been at home 3 of the last 4 postseasons) and Brey constantly has this team higher in the BE standings than projected. We look like we're on our way to 7 NCAA's in 11 years-- when was the last time ND even came close to that? I'm sick of this dogging Brey shit, ND basketball was irrelevant for over a decade before he arrived.
