The Notre Dame men's basketball team is destroying GS in case anybody needed a positive ND fix. The game is being streamed online currently through UND.com, with the Irish in firm grasp of a nice victory with a lot of the newbies getting plenty of playing time. Atkins looked really nice, not trying to force anything and had some nice dribble-drives that led to wide open three's for Ben and company. Ben played great as well, capitalizing on almost anything he touched outside the three point line. Martin, Scott, and Tim all played unselfish ball and shared really well. Have to love the assist-to-turnover ratio... (15-3 at the half) But all in all it's hard to gauge the overall result but I've seen some athletically-superior teams lose to lesser, early on like Tenn the other night so it's definitely the right direction to be headed.
Final score: 98-61, Notre Dame. Crazy stat of the game: Georgia Southern was held scoreless for the first 12 minutes and ND basically held a 40 point lead throughout the game.
**Cooley was a very nice surprise down low. Great athleticism for a big. Probably the biggest surprise of the evening as he looked the part and then some. Couldn't believe Jack's vertical as he played shoulder-to-the rim all night.
